Overview: People who walk around proclaiming their favorite movies often overlook the most fundamental test of a great film; it stands up to multiple viewings. A movies can only be your favorite if you watch it every single chance you get, even on commercial television.

Criteria: It’s simple; if you see that this movie is being shown on TV; whether it be a movie channel or commercial channel, you drop everything and put the movie on, shunning all other choices. Those are the signs of a true classic

Rob's Notes: I realize how ridiculous it is to own every single movie on my list on DVD, yet I still get that absurd excitement in my belly when I see one of these movies on the channel guide. Perhaps having it on TV is some sort of vindication, or perhaps it feeds into that dopey belief that we all have that if something is on TV, it’s also actually happening somewhere on Earth at that exact moment as well.
