Vacation time!!!! And what a way for it to start for someone like me who HATES the heat!! Gary and I headed on up to Truckee, Ca to meet up with a good friend and how freaken awesome was the weather that day on the way there, SUPER freaken awesome!!

This is my good friend Stephanie that I have known since our 20’s! this is her little girl Sam who is like a niece to me, she is 6 and she has just always called me Auntie Dawn!  She wanted to hang with Gary and I for a few days and play with our niece and nephew Kendra and Kaleb…

Time to pick up our niece and nephew Kendra and Kaleb, they live in Lake Havasu City, AZ and each year they stay with us during my summer vacation and each year we meet my sister and brother in law halfway to pick up the kiddos and halfway is Bakersfield…thank the lord for games on cell phones to pass the time for the kids during the drive!! Although we all do enjoy playing the license  plate game, remember that game??!! So fun!  Once we got home Kendra and Sam wanted some Pink Lemonade to drink while they relaxed..Kendra wanted hers in a champagne glass so she could call hers pink champagne!! Kaleb wanted none of it and just relaxed on the couch playing on the computer!!

Ice skating is one of their favorite things to do when visiting….my nephew Kaleb didn’t want a jacket but his hands were getting cold from when he would fall so he put his sisters socks on his hands!! And its already freezing inside the rink but a kid is n never too cold for a milk shake!

Sam was a little freaked out about ice skating so Gary found this sled to put her in to get her warmed up to the idea and before you knew it she wanted to ice skate with Kendra…so sweet!

We were at the ice skating rink for like 4 hours!! It was time to pack it up!!

Oh my gosh this place Sky Zone is SO FUN!! There are these big trampolines and you can play dodge ball, basketball while jumping or just run and jump!!

Gary and I had the BEST time we were cracking up, we joined Kendra and Sam jumping in the foam pit…..freaken thing sucks you up though once you land in it! Both Gary and I want to go back but we figure it would probably be weird if it was just he and I so we are gonna be going with friends that have kids!!! If you like silly fun like this you HAVE to go, its awesome!!

All week our niece and nephew wanted to ride the John Deere mower, which of course I was a bit nervous about, they are 11 and 8 years old!  My hubby on the other hand had zero problem with it so I just hung out in the house while the kiddos went outside to help Uncle Gary with yard work….here is some video of Kendra and Kaleb, I have to admit they handled the tractor well but still so much shit from the ground could of flown up in their eyes!
