My German Shepherds, Shep and Nellie spent their summer vacation (PAID) once again in the hills between Reno and Sacramento at Dogwoods resort. First things first…upon arriving at Dogwoods, Shep and Nellie sniff around and make themselves known to all the other doggies present…
Shep has spotted Yogi, an Anatolian Shepherd who is just 15 months old yet already weighs 117 pounds and will top out at just over 150…Shep approaches the giant with care
Shep, of course has to be an ass and try to assert his dominance over Yogi. Nellie quickly steps in and plays peacemaker and they all spent the rest of the week playing. Lucky for Shep since Yogi outweighs him by 30 pounds!

After a long day of play, Shep finds his way to the pool for a soak.
The grill has been lit and it’s time for a Dogwoods BBQ! Eventually, Shep and Nellie show the gang how it’s done…lay down and wait to be fed!
Eventually, the gang finds their way to their favorite pond for a swim…
And here we have a very wet and very tired Shep.
