Ok, so now it's time to update the dating page. Wow, how convienet it is that it is happening in Febuary. I have to say nowadays it seems like everyone is meeting in a chat room, or on Myspace or somewhere on the computer. So here are some things to be very aware of when looking for that "Special" someone.

Arnie's Tips for Online Dating...

1. If you're meeting them online, don't believe a word they say!!!!! Now, I'm not talking about forever, but when you first meet, it's all pretty much a sham. Ladies, if the guy says he's a doctor, then that means he lives at home with his parents (which by the way, could mean that he is taking care of his sick mother). Sure, once you meet him and start dating you will wonder why you never go to his place. That's because Mom and Dad don't allow visitors after 9pm. Guys the same goes for you. When she says that she is "in between jobs" right now, that means she is married and works at home with her kids. If you wonder why you can't go to her place, well it's because her husband is there.

2. Pictures can lie. A picture says 1,000 words, 999 of them are probably not true. Don't believe what you see when they send you pictures. Believe me I KNOW!!!!!!!!!! Many times the pictures are taken YEARS ago and the people don't look anywhere near the same. If you haven't met yet, try to get them to send you a picture of them holding up today's newspaper, sure you might scare them off, but at least you will know what they look like.

3. On a person's profile, if they say they love kids... that means they HAVE kids!!! I don't know if that's what you want, but I know that's what THAT means.

4. Always try to get THEIR number first. This way you can call them and find out who the real person is on the phone. Again, meeting them is the best way to go, but if they are shy, try and get thier number. Then of course star 67 them so they can't call you back incase they are a complete psycho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5. MEET IN PERSON!!!!!! This is the most important thing. I can't stress enough that there are people out there who just want to play you and make fun of you with their friends. Try and set up a meeting. If they can't make the first time, then that's ok, but try again. If for some odd reason, they break their arm for example and can't make the second meeting now things are getting a little fishy. If they miss a flight because they just found out they have some terrible disease then it's time to run for the hills because they are NOT REAL AND ARE JUST USING YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All of those are RANDOM examples of course.

Hope these new tips helped everyone out, and remember the best way to get to know someone is meeting them face to face!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The computer is great, but it can't touch you down below!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm out...
