As you've probably figured out by now, I do a LOT of golfing! Because I get to see a lot of courses and play a lot of greens, I've decided to have a do keep an official reviews page for all the courses I play.

I have to admit that I do enjoy playing Ancil Hoffman golf course. It is an old course and I really like the way it is layed out. The tee boxes are really close to the greens which means not a whole lot of walking going on. And in my book that is ok. The only problem with Ancil Hoffman is that there are too many old farts out there who should be rocking there last few years away at some retirement home rather than on the course slowing me and my friends down. This is a fun course to play but make sure you have ALL day to do it.

Ok, so alot of people LOVE playing Ancil Hoffman golf course in Sacramento. Here is the opening hole that really isn't that hard except for an uphill shot that you WILL have to wait on to hit to the green.

This is the first par 5 that you will come across on the course, and yes there are that many trees and I think that I have hit almost everyone.

As you can tell the course is sometime a little beat up with the city running it and all. Not a bad hole but just a whole lot of crap in the way.

Ok, so now it is time to play the backside. FINALLY!!!!!!! This par 4 is only fun when a marshal isn't on the green trying to punch ball marks while you are trying to play.

Ok, so this is the coolest hole on the course. A short par 3 that goes straight up the hill. You can't see your ball land and that makes this a very fun yet HARD hole. |
This is a short and dumpy par 4 that is close to the end. There really isn't a whole lot to it. You can drive it if you hit a perfect draw. Guess what. I DIDN'T!!!!!!!!

Let me say that they get two balls because sometimes the greens are really good, but most of the time they are really crappy and super bumpy.

Just like every other golf course in this area they water way too much which means no roll whatsoever when you hit it right down the middle. And here that is only place to hit the ball thanks to all the trees.

If this place cost anymore than 50 bucks it would be an absolute joke. They charge right around there which makes it pretty much stupid to begin with..

This IS a fun course to play. Too bad it takes nearly a year to play it because of all the slow ass old people in front of you. Plus the marshalls won't do anything about it because the only reason they are there is to get free golf because they are cheap old people too. I do like the way this course is layed out too bad I won't play there again unless I have the first tee time and even then they will stick some codger in front of me because he knows a marshall.
