As you've probably figured out by now, I do a LOT of golfing! Because I get to see a lot of courses and play a lot of greens, I've decided to have a do keep an official reviews page for all the courses I play.

This weeks course I'm reviewing is one that I have wanted to do for a long long time, the Catta Verdera Country Club in Lincoln, California. When we first moved here it was called "Twelve Bridges" and a really tough course. Well, only the name has changed. This is a tough, but very very fair course. From the get go on number one you have a big dog leg left you have to make, and the green is no piece of cake, but there is plenty of room to bail out. This is a golf course that offers a real "risk/reward" on holes. Nothing is worse than when a course takes the driver out of your hand on holes and forces you to lay up. There are places around the course that you should lay up, but there is a good enough reward for the risk.

Here's a great view of the golf course from the 14th hole. It's a newley designed par 5 that if you hit the right shot you can and will get home in two.

This is the par 3 17th hole. This hole is so much fun to play because if it has been dry enough you can hit it a little left of the green and the ball will feed down, most of the time I hit it in the big ass lake.

Here is the finishing hole an awesome par 4 with the new clubhouse being built in the backround. The pond in front used to be a little stream, that yes, I seem to find all the time.

Here's a look from down below the Par 3 13th hole, the hole from down below is about 170 yards, but when you go up top to the other tee boxes it is really cool also.

Really a good place to play, they offer public play after 11:30 Monday through Friday and is well worth the price. |

| 4 balls. The new clubhouse could only add another ball to the review. From everyone that works there to the course itself, it is so much fun playing Catta Verdera because it's not an easy golf course but you can do well. |

 5/13/05 -- This is my favorite picture of the day. This time, it's not even one of mine!!!!!!! This is from a friend of mine who thought it would be real cool to throw up a ball and hit it with his TaylorMade driver like a baseball. Too bad this is golf and the head came flying off like a champ, way to go!!!!!!
