Aloha, my golfing amigo's!!!! I know amigo is Spanish, but I don't have enough vowels to complete a Hawaiian sentence. Here are my thoughts on the courses in the beautiful state of Hawaii, on the island of Maui. The first course I played was Kapalua Plantation course. The layout is awesome, so many holes on the water, with the first tee shot you hit your looking at another island and the ocean. This isn't an easy course though, I guess that's why they play the Mercedes Championship here. To me the greens were really slow, but that's because they are grooming the course for the PGA. Lots of rough, and narrow fairways, all and all a really nice course. The next course I played was my favorite(yes, because this course I played really well, and yes I did leave out what I shot at Plantation, cause I sucked that day) Kapaula's Bay course. This course is really more on the ocean than Plantation, with great scenery on every hole. It was nice because we were the first one's out, and set a great pace of play, I think we played in just over 3 hours. The one thing about Hawaiian courses, is that they all have Bermuda grass greens, meaning you have to read the grain of the grass, and with me being able to hardly read it made it that much tougher, but this was an outstanding course that I say is a MUST!!!!!! The next two courses are the Kanapaali courses, the North is where they have a Senior PGA event, and it was ok, but not too hard, again the greens got me on the front side, but the back was much better I went 47-37, for an 84, oh by the way on the Bay course at Kapalua I shot 81, if only I hadn't double bogeyed 16. The South course at Kanapaali didn't have anyone on it so we flew around that track. Not much to see on this course, it was alot cheaper and not too bad, but not a must on the golfing adventure.

Here's a look at my afternoon at the Kapalua Plantation course....

Here I am on Thanksgiving Day about to tee off on the Kapalua Plantation Course.

I don't remember what hole this was, but I know I didn't do that good on it.

Sure, you're probably saying it's in the hole, but it really wasn't even close. I think it ended up in the crap.

Here is the roommate about to tee off, and most likely hit a shot somewhere he really doesn't want to be.

Here is the north course on Kanapalli, or however you spell it. Those people use too may vowels in their words anyway. This was a fun wide open course.

Here's the roommate about to hit his next tee shot. Wait 'till you see where it ends up.

If you look really hard, you will see the roommates shot, and no we didn't just stick it up there. It really ended up there. I birdied the hole.

Why the hell did I take this picture, I look SUPER GAY!!!!

Here is the finishing hole at the Plantation course, not really that fair when the wind is blowing right in your face about 100mph.
So here is my overall rating for Coyote Moon...
Staff/
Service:
2 and a half alls, the guys in the pro shot helped me replace a wedge, and were nice in doing so, but the starters weren't the best I've met, and one guy didn't even change the spikes in my roommates shoes the day before we played his course, even though we had already payed.
Greens:
3 balls. Some of the best sights I have ever seen playing golf, one par 3 on the Bay course you are hitting over the ocean, and yes I did make it over. The South course at Kanapaali was the only one without alot of great views. But the courses were all in great shape.
Price:
It is very expensive to play golf in Maui, thank God my roommate is rich and payed for it. Kapalua Plantation was $220, Bay $156. Kanapaali North $125, while the south was $56.
Overall
Rating:
3 balls. A great experience that any golfer would really really like.
