As you've probably figured out by now, I do a LOT of golfing! Because I get to see a lot of courses and play a lot of greens, I've decided to have a do keep an official reviews page for all the courses I play.

Well, it's finally opened. The new Orchard side of The Lincoln Hills Club. I was really excited to see the new "tougher" layout. Needless to say, I wasn't that impressed. I really think the new side opened about 3 to 4 months early. You will see it in some of the pictures taken, that some of the fairways aren't even grown in yet. I think it will be a good side, maybe a little tougher, but not a whole lot of "risk vs. reward".

Here are some photos I took while playing the course....

Here is the new opening hole for the Orchard side of the new Lincoln Hills. It's the old number 10 hole, which is a very tough hole to start out on.

This is where the new course starts, kind of a ho-hum par three, not bad, really sloped green that ate me up.

Ok, here's where the course starts to go a little downhill. This is a mandatory lay-up hole, no risk, and no reward... booooooooooo!!!!!

Yet another hole that looks just the same as the other side, lots of bunkers that are pretty easy to avoid.

Ok, here is where the fairway is supposed to be on the old par 3 13th hole, which has now been turned into a par 4, yet another lay up, once again a "no risk no reward hole."

Here's Rob on what I still think is the best finishing hole in town. It's the old number 18 with water and sand traps, I miss this hole.
So here is my overall rating for the New Orchard side of Lincoln Hills Golf Club...
Staff/
Service:
2 Balls. The reason they get this many is because of the outside guys who are good all the time. There was some crusty guy working in the shop who wasn't thrilled that anyone was out there and let us see it.
Greens:
1 ball. Again, I really think the course opened too soon, and the greens are so hard and fast you can't make anything stop.
Fairways:
1.5 balls. Half of the new fairways haven't even grown in yet. The other half are really fun because they are so hard you get lots of roll.
Price:

Well at least it's somewhat affordable.

Overall
Rating:

2 balls. This is not the worst course I have ever played. This course is just very young, and needs alot of time to grow in. I'm planning another review sometime, but it will have to be after the crusty guy in the shop is gone.
