Welcome the newest 9 holes to the Sacramento area. The Lincoln Hills, Hills course just opened and I was invited to play with Head Pro Nolley Adkinson. Let me tell you, this is not your grandfathers Lincoln Hills anymore. The new nine splits from the original number 7, and then takes off from there, with some really picturesque holes. Including the 470 yard par 4 11th hole, which is not ranked the toughest on the course. This is not impossible to play which makes this course fun yet a bit challenging. The fairways are in great shape for a new course that you could even drive on them. The greens were a little firm, but that's what you get when you have new greens. All and all this isn't what I would say is an improvement, the course was great already. This just adds to how much fun it is to play the Lincoln Hills Club.

Here are some photos of the course to show you what I'm talking about....

Here is a look at the first new hole at the Lincoln Hills, Hills course. No I did not go in the water, but I did hit a house with my tee shot.

This is the number 9 hole and I really didn't do that well on this hole but I did pick it up a bit later.

Here it is the big dog if you will. 470 yards from the tips, and you have to hit everything you have to get it there. I got a bogey on the hole and was very excited. Pretty sad, huh??

This is a really cool downhill par 3, that measures about 210 from the back tees. You might think since it's downhill to hit less club. Don't be fooled.

I couldn't resist this picture on the Par 5 15th hole. That is Dawns Husband sneaking in some pre-Dawn meals before he has to go home for soy and black bean pasta.

So here is my overall rating for Lincoln Hills...
Staff/
Service:
5 balls, yes I'm breaking my rule and giving more balls out, but Nolley and the rest of the staff are awesome and always treat you right.
Greens:
3 balls, only because they are sooooooo new, that makes them hard to really judge.
Fairways:
4 balls, great shape, got some really good roll on tee shots that I actually hit in the fairways.
Price:
Overall
Rating:
4 balls. This is a fun golf course that you won't throw a set of clubs into the lake over, unless your me, and have that many at that course already.
