As you've probably figured out by now, I do a LOT of golfing! Because I get to see a lot of courses and play a lot of greens, I've decided to have a do keep an official reviews page for all the courses I play.
Here's a quick breakdown of my ratings system: |

One of the newest golf courses in the area is Old Greenwood up in Truckee, CA. The first time I played it, I didn't think I would like it because it is a Jack Nicholas design, but I fell in love with the course and try to play it as much as possible. The course is not wide open, but is open enough to hit driver on pretty much every hole, where you can and will be awarded for your risk taking.
Here are some photos I took during my round at Old Greenwood.... |

Usually I don't take pictures of the driving range, but it's so nice I had to take a photo.

The number one is a little dog leg right that has an uphill green, not too hard, but not too easy to start out with either.

Here's the par 3 number 3 hole, that the first time we ever played the course Rob hit the flag stick on the fly and did make the putt.

This is the start of the "mini Amen Corner" a par 5 where you have a lot of risk reward in going for the green in two. I didn't because I suck.

Our buddy Dave on the end of mini "Amen Corner", a par 3 over water. Dave was the only one of us to hit it on the green, I was in the water, I know SHOCKING!!!!!!

If anything could go wrong this day, it did. Do you see that little white speck? Yeah, that's my ball right next to the Goddamn treen. I hate trees. This one should be cut down. |

In the last picture you can kind of see the lake where I threw my driver in.
This is a par 3, at this point I'm about ready to throw everything in the lake, but I didn't.....yet.

Finally the last hole, in which I had to hit Rob's driver and did so pretty well. I did par the hole which made me smile only for a minute until I saw the scorecard. |

3.5 balls. I have to say how much I like the actual course. It is a fun golf experience. Isn't that what golf is supposed to be?? FUN. Well at Old Greenwood the golfing part of it is. I can't wait to go back again when the customer service improves. |
