As you've probably figured out by now, I do a LOT of golfing! Because I get to see a lot of courses and play a lot of greens, I've decided to have a do keep an official reviews page for all the courses I play.

Pasatiempo Golf Club is one of those golf courses that you HAVE to play sometime in your life. Designed by Allister McKenzie, who also did the Augusta National golf course, this was where he retired and lived the last days of his life. It's ranked #16 in top 100 courses you can play in America and actually lives up to the hype. It's tucked away in Santa Cruz but well worth the drive.

Here we are arriving at Pasatiempo, an Allister Mckineze course, you know the guy that did Augusta where the Masters is played.

The opening hole is a big downhill par 5. It was wet the day we played and I cranked drive but didn't get any kind of roll, so it was a long second shot that didn't find it's way home .

This is a look at the first of 4 of the hardest par 3's you will ever see. I missed mine way up to the left which is NOT the ideal landing area, especially if your stupid like me and walked the course.

The nice thing about this golf course is that you CAN and have to hit driver on many of the holes. Sure it's short but it will trick you. |

Pasatiempo is not a long golf course. But it is a hilly golf course which makes it play long and if you walk, pack a lunch because it's an all day job .

Ok, so we have made it past the first 9, and now on number 10 all you have to do is get it over a hill and you will hit about a 350 yard drive. Well it was wet, which means no roll and my drive sadly didn't go any 350.

Another one of the difficult par 3's on the course. Like I said it's not a long course except on the par 3's. Most of them were about 180 yards or more, sadly no hole in ones this day. |
Ok, so were about to wrap things up. Number 17 just was scarry and a bit on the long side, I think I double bogied it, but I was playing well all day.

Finally #18!!!!! This was a long day, not because the course sucked, but because it was tough and wet, this hole I just gripped it and ripped it, and yes, I made par. |

3 Balls. I would have given 4 but they were soooooooo wet. I didn't get any kind of roll but they were beautiful and green. Do you remember what that looks like in this area?????

3.5 Balls. Like I said, this is a course that if your a golfer you HAVE to play. The layout is amazing and a great track to walk. Just don't walk after a downpour, this course holds water well and you will be paying for it the next couple days. |
