Well let me say how excited I am to be back reviewing courses!!!!!!!!! We got to jump right in the thick of things with Shadow Creek. This used to be the private Steve Wynn course, where you had to gamble like 50,000 just to get on. Now you only have to stay at one of the MGM properties to be able to pay and play. The course is ranked number 10 in Golf Digest of courses you can play in America. I have to admit, the course was great, but not as great as everyone says. Yes, it was a beatiful course, but better than Pebble???? NO! Plus, given the cost and the fact that you have to stay at the hotel was a little much, but the course is awesome and they treat you like a rockstar.

So here's a look at my afternoon at Shadow Lakes....

Here we go off to Shaddow Creek, they take you from your hotel in Vegas to the golf course pretty cool huh??????.

Here we go, this is the look from the tee box on the number one hole. I pounded drive right down the middle about 305, and ended up taking a f&$%#ng 6 on the hole!! Sometimes I hate this game.

3 Here's a look at the first par 5 we faced. Not too tough, but do you see the creek down there on the left? President Bush and his daddy "41" played the course about 3 months before I did, then the next day they fished the creek. Do you think they had to pay?

This is the first group that we got to play through. It's not that we were playing that good, but we played at a great pace until we hit this group of idiots. I hit a seven iron onto the green as they waived us up, then dropped about a 15 footer for birdie, this was one of my favorite holes.

It costed a bunch of money to pay for the course, so thanks to my roommate for that, and the cart came stocked with soda(diet), Gatorade, and water, I took advantage. I had to pee alot though.

This is the 10th hole, a short 318 yards from tee to green. We played through another group and they watched us hit. I ended up in the trap up by the green, I hit it about 290, so not bad, and yes I did make par.

This is the par 4 13th. I had to take the approach shot picture because it was soooooo cool to see the slope of the fairway into the green.

Here is the signature hole number 17. A short par 3 with water in front and an awesome waterfall in the backround. The green was just re-sodded, because it doesn't get any sun thanks to all the trees, I did stick the green but lipped out my birdie putt.
So here is my overall rating for Shadow Creek...
Staff/
Service:
4 Balls, Awesome service. The ride to the course in the Limo is a nice touch. They give you your own locker, shine your shoes for you, give you plenty to drink on the course, and the caddies they give you do know there stuff.
Greens:
2.5 balls. The greens were good, not great, and for the money you spend you really expect the place to be in tip top shape
.
Fairways:
3 balls. Good fairways and lots of roll out of them, there were some dead spots, but that's thanks to too many trees out there.

.
Price:
The cost is $500 bucks to play(thanks roommate) and you have to stay at one of the hotels, like MGM or Mirage. It's not really worth that much
.
Overall
Rating:

3 Balls. I'm glad I got to play it. It was alot of fun, but for the money and all you have to do to play it, I still think Pebble is the best and probably always will until Hootie Johnson invites me to play Augusta.
