Timber Creek is the new name for a great course in Roseville, California. It used to be known as Sun City Roseville. This course seems to always be in great shape and now that they have changed names things have even got better. Not only are the greens in good shape, but you can actually get roll out of the fairways. I know usually in Sacramento the ball hits and just stops or only rolls about 10 feet if your lucky. Here's a look at some of the holes...

Our tee time was at 6:36am. Yes, there are people on this hole already... and I parred it in the dark.

Finally we get some sun on the tough par 5 (with water you can't see, but I did reach on the left).

Yes, more water and yes, my tee shot ended up there.

This is the 9th hole and no, I didn't get wet this time.

This is a #12 par 5 that I almost made eagle on, but I'll take birdie.

A very cool par 4 with LOTS of trees to protect the green.

Par 3 16th hole that I birdied. Damn I'm a stud.

A great finishing par 5 that again I almost holed my chip for eagle.
So here is my overall rating for Timber Creek...
Staff/
Service:
4 Balls. Aside from having a tee time when no one could see, they are very nice and very helpful getting you going on the tee box.
Greens:
3 1/2 Balls. They are actually making the greens smaller, but still are in good shape, not a lot of ball marks in the greens giving them great roll
Fairways:
3.5 Balls. They look a little dried out but they really are great for roll, I love hitting a drive and watching it take off when it hits the ground.
Price:

Now this is what I'm talking about very affordable to go out and play, even on the weekends.

Overall
Rating:

3.5 Balls. This is a good golf course, one that really does make it fun to play golf again. It seems like even the pace of play is better here than most courses.
