As you've probably figured out by now, I do a LOT of golfing! Because I get to see a lot of courses and play a lot of greens, I've decided to have a do keep an official reviews page for all the courses I play.
Here's a quick breakdown of my ratings system: |

This week we are taking a look at a very popular local golf course, Turkey Creek. This course is alot of fun to play, yet sometimes it takes forever to do so. I have played rounds there that have lasted 4 hours, and I have played rounds there that have lasted almost hours. The course itself is usually in great shape year round, that is if you don't count the green on the par 5 16th hole. But to my surprise they have fixed the green and it looks great now. We had fun playing this weekend, except for the jerks infront of us who took forever on the greens, and we were the 3rd group out that day.
Here's a photo recap of my day at Turkey Creek.... |

Here is the opening par 4 at Turkey Creek, really not much to it, but I have seen a hole in one on this hole, yes a hole in one on a par 4!!!!!!!!!!

Here's a look at the first par 5 on the golf course. The hole really takes driver out of your hands, thanks to the lake. Then you have to hit it over the trees to get anywhere near the hole, stupid hole.
|

This is a look at a really cool 9th hole that shoots you back to the clubhouse. A big dogleg right with trees and crap all over the place guarding it.
|

Not only isn't it mine but it belongs to the husband of a person I do the show with, but I don't want to mention any names.
|

Here is Turkey Creek's signature hole the Par 3 14th hole. A short hole that is really fun to play as long as you don't hit it in the water, and thank God I didn't.
|

Here's where you don't want to be, yet I still seem to find myself here at Turkey Creek a lot. |

"Doctor" Ron joined my dad and I on this day. He is just finishing his round. The 18th hole has nothing but trouble, and the "Doctor" has found the water 4 times, including right here.

The only reason I gave them two balls is because of the cart guys who come out and load you up. They are there as soon as you park. The shop guys are more worried about phone calls then helping someone in line.

Not too bad, I think that the 67 bucks they charge is a little much, but I understand.

2.5 balls. The pace of a round is really important to how much you can enjoy golf. Turkey Creek is always a slow course, and this weekend didn't do anything to dispell the myth. I like this golf course, I don't like playing forever though. The course is in good shape if you want to spend a whole day there. |
