I don't know if you have heard about the newest course in town, but let me tell you it is something else.  Its called Yocha-De-He and it's Cache Creek Casino's new golf course.  Oh, yea, it's amazing as well.  Sure it's a little out of the way, but it is well worth the drive.  Here's a look.

From the first hole, this course is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!  There is about a 100 foot drop to the fairway on the opening par 4 that just makes you feel like you can hit it a mile.

The first par 3 is over water but not that hard.  Well, that is unless the pin is where it was when I played.  And yes, I did make my par.

I know, I jumped to the 8th hole already but it's worth it because it is such a short par 4.  I did try to drive it but decided to yank the hell out of it instead and not even get close.  Nice shot dumbass.

This is a look at the really tough 10th hole.  I didn't hit my tee shot that well and had a ton left uphill.  I almost made par, but I SUCK at putting.

I forgot what hole this is but I know that it is a HUGE par 3.  It's about 233 yards with a long narrow green.  Hello double bogey!!!!!!!

So this is the hole right after the HUGE par 3, and it really catches you off guard.  It's not that long of a hole but you have to lay up with your tee shot to give you any chance at birdie.  Needless to say, I didn't lay up and I didn't get a birdie.

So here's what I really like about this course, the risk/rewards are amazing.  This is a simple par 4 that gives you a great birdie shot if you have the nuts to try it.  I did but once again sucked at putting.

This is a look at your second shot on the par 5 17th hole.  Not a long hole  but to get it on the green you have to hit it over some water making it a great hole.

Sadly this is 18.  I am so happy that I have been hitting a huge hook lately that I just took my tee shot over the water and brought it back to this great finishing hole.  I had a shot for bird, but once again, I SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so all in all this could be the BEST course in town.  I'm not kidding for a new course the greens hold well, and are fair.  If I could putt worth a crap I could have gone really low.  The course is fun, not slow and pretty easy to get around.  There are some holes that give you chances for low numbers, but if you don't pull off the shot it will cost you.

So here is my overall rating for Yocha-De-He Golf Club...
Staff/
Service:
They know the way to treat their guest at this course.  They don't have a clubhouse yet, but they drive you right to the driving range and then take you back to your car when your done.
Greens:
This is still a new course and the greens are great for new course.  I can't wait to play the course in a few months even when they mature a little more and start to really bite.
Fairways:
These could be some of the best manicured fairways in the Sacramento valley.  Hell, they could be some of the best I have even played on, EVER.

Price:

It's a little spendy but this is probably the only course that I would pay more to play.  It's worth the cost and drive.

Overall
Rating:

I was totally blown away playing this golf course.  I wish it had an easier name to pronounce but that's ok.  I don't usually like driving too far to golf courses but I would be more than happy to drive out to this course tomorrow if you asked me.
