Updated June 18th, 2008 Arnie's Pets - Past and Present This is the first dog I ever had, Harvey Martin. If your a big Dallas Cowboys fan you will remember the name. He was my favorite player and a really nice guy. I met him a few times and even wrote him a letter telling him that I named my dog after him. The dog by the way was a girl dog. She was half Border Collie, half something else. We got her when some kid was going around looking to see if anyone wanted puppies. Harvey was only about a day old and we had to feed her with an eyedropper. She was an amazing dog as my first dog. She died at about 10 when her hips went out and I still miss her to this day. This was the only cat that we ever had. Misty. My mom got her from some lady that she worked with and what a mistake. I HATED this cat, and the cat HATED ME!!!!!!!!!! I remember when she got her claws out, because we were tired of her scratching me, she was hopped up on dope and I decided to have a little boxing match with her. I won of course. I think that cat died in a drive-by because she was a BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is Mookie. I got the name from a basketball player that grew up in Garland, Texas. Mookie Blaylock. She was a Springer Spaniel. And DUMB!!!!!!!!!! This had to be the dumbest dog I have ever seen. But very playful and took good care of my mom. Once Rob was in charge of taking care of Mookie while we went out of town and decided to feed her Oreo's. Thanks Rob, I had to clean up all the shit, and I still owe you. This has to be one of my favorite friends. This was my dog Bevo. I had always wanted a Bulldog and I finally got one. Talk about a dog that had a mind of his own. He never wanted to learn to go to the bathroom outside, but he finally got it. And don't let bulldogs fool you, they are as active as they get. Bevo died the day before my 30th birthday from heart disease. He was only 6 months old.
This is the little king of the house right now. An all black pugg that is the most loving dog that I have ever seen. But he doesn't like to pee outside. I think that he thinks that since we can do it inside so can he. He is getting better about it and his liver shut is starting to clear up as well. For my buddy Bevo . . . Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends, so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water, and sunshine, to keep our friends warm and comfortable. All the animals who have been ill or old, are restored to health and vigor. Those who have been hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just like we remember them in our dreams of days, and times gone by. The animals are happy and content except for one small thing, they miss someone that was left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when they will suddenly stop and look off into the distance, as if they see someone they have been waiting for. Their eyes become bright and their bodies begin to shake with anticipation. Suddenly one will break form the group, flying over the green grass, running faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. They happy kisses rain upon your face, and your hands are able to caress their beloved head once more. You look into those trusting eyes, so long ago taken from your life, but never absent from your heart. You now are able to cross the Rainbow Bridge together. Author unknown
