Howdy All! Okay so I adore my hubby and this I just always find funny! You know the saying that a restroom is kinda like a man’s second office or his castle?? Not sure which one or how the saying goes, well shit it’s something like that!! Anywhoooooo….I always get a kick at the way he uses the downstairs bathroom! Check out the photos and you will know what I mean!!!

Okay so there are outlets all over the house, yet Gary likes to use the one in the bathroom to charge his phone!! Why? I don’t know! He has an office in the house! This is a battle lost for me so I just embrace it!!

The bathroom counter, bathroom floor and bathroom garbage are where the newspapers are kept in our casa!!! How bout yours!!????

The toilet sit up doesn’t happen a lot but when it does its just a reminder to me that yes this is Gary’s bathroom!!!! Another reminder….empty toilet roll while there is a stack of toilet paper right there…see em there right there!! Hilarious to me!!

Just thought I would share this part of our casa with ya, hope you enjoyed it!!

Howdy everyone!! Can you believe it is almost gobble gobble day!! So awesome love Thanksgiving! Anyway…. I thought I would share with you some of the happenings at our casa with Pops, my father in law! As you may already know he lives with us however he is retired and takes several trips to Arizona throughout the year but while he is at the house he has the whole upstairs to himself since our bedroom is downstairs, it’s his own hideaway! He not only has his big tv, computer and coffee pot upstairs, he also keeps a lot of junk food up there with him and that is what these photos are all about, hope you enjoy!!

Pops is a junk food junkie!! Here he is going upstairs with his goodies after a trip to the store, I got a shot of the bags on the bed that he hadn’t unpacked yet! He sometimes tries to sneak in the house with his goodies hoping we won’t see him because he knows he should be eating better, but this time he is busted!!

He eats like a little kid!! He LOVES his cookies, candy and crackers. He will sit in bed and munch throughout the day on this stuff while he watches his favorite tv shows, he has the good life! He usually has red vines and sunflower seeds as well but he must be out of those! When he is done eating the stuff he doesn’t have to go far to throw away the packaging, that brown bag next to his bed is his garbage bag!! So funny!!

Okay I know this blanket doesn’t have anything to do with Pop’s sugar addiction, but I thought I would show you his favorite blanket he has on his bed!!!

So Pops stuffed his shirt with a pillow to show you what he should look like with the kind of crap he eats, but when he takes the pillow out you can see he is skinny!! So not fair that he can eat that way and not get fat, what the hell!!!! Anywho we think him keeping a food stash is funny, although I wish it was carrot sticks and cucumber slices but that ain’t happening!!!

Hey Everybody!! So my hubby and I are still so enjoying our country pad!! I think the only room I still haven’t shown ya is our bedroom, next time I will get to that for you but this time I thought I would share with you the kind of grub you will find in our casa! I think the stuff I eat is FANTASTIC but you could be the judge of that, my husband doesn’t care for a lot of it cause he is a meat eater, blah, so I do make sure there is plenty of that garbage in the house for him! Hope you enjoy the photos!

So these are our Veggie drawers at our Casa and can we say…Yummy yummy yummy!! Baby Spinach is my FAV, FAV FAVORITE!! I love to mix it with Butter lettuce and Romaine…oh so good! The second veggie drawer you see I love to fill with red, green and yellow peppers as well as cucumbers, tomatoes and some fresh herbs, ( no not that kind of herb, hee, hee) ya know like Dill, don’t ya just love the way Dill smells!!

You know when you have a bazillion things to get done and you want something fast, healthy and good? Well here is what you will usually find in our house for those particular moments, a Bean and Rice Burrito or a Greek Salad Wrap, to die for! And of course since I am a Vegetarian, No meat in those products! It’s so good to have stuff like this around your house so you don’t go out and get some gross food that may be fast but not good on the ticker. So if you are ever over visiting and you get a hankering for one of these I would be more than happy to share!

How could you not want this kind of bread in the house? The packaging alone let’s you know the goodness that is inside, the pretty dove and the bright sun! I’m telling ya Sprouted Grain Bread is THE way to go and it’s named after a book and verse in the Bible so you know its pure! If you wanted to know what that verse says, here it is for ya….”Take wheat and barley, beans and lentils, millet and spelt; put them in a storage jar and use them to make bread for yourself. Amen.

Alright ladies to have these two items in your pantry is a MUST during “That” time of the month!! And the best part, you don’t have to feel guilty for eating them! Just like the bag of chips says, Reduced Guilt and I am telling you they taste like the real deal and so help the salt craving. Of course to go along with the salt is the sweet and boy are these sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet! Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies, you have to try them, even folks who like real chocolate chip cookies go ga ga over these!

Open our Fridge and you will find Heaven in here with the Soy creamer, Soy milk and Soy yogurt! Don’t knock it until you try it. I could blind fold you and you would be like oh my gosh what is this stuff it is so damn good!! And you gotta have Berries in the house, Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries oh my!!!

Well you knew eventually we would get to the crap you will find in our house!! Boo this junk! But my husband ( hi baby, I love you!) likes it so of course I want to keep him happy! Oh lookey donuts, nasty pork sausage, oh wait could that be ribs awesome let’s throw those on the Barbie and have a cookout!! Oooohhh while you are at it put the stupid wieners on the grill as well! Wait you don’t feel like having any of that well you are in luck cuz you will also find these lovely Meat lasagna dinners in our freezer. Blah.

You are in luck! I just went shopping and stocked up on some Rub your belly good fish! I like to have this frozen fish on hand when I can’t make it to the store for fresh fish or when the fresh stuff is toooo expensive, either way it is still so good for your heart! The Warehouse stores have this stuff for really good prices. Man when you can eat healthy and save money can we say BONUS!!

Okay so these are the Meatless Meatballs I have talked about on the air, the ones we want Arnie to try blindfolded, he will soooooooooooooooo enjoy them, until he finds out what it was then he will be I am sure grossed out! Also Morningstar has a line of great food, in the freezer right now at our casa you will find Soy burgers, Veggie burgers and Soy bacon.

Once again, got to keep the hubby happy! Dudes love these Claim Jumper and Hungryman frozen dinners, yum yum, can I please try some, oh wait I would rather drink glue! But I am glad my handsome husband (hi honey, I love you!) finds joy in eating them.

Betcha wish you had this stuff in your pantry! Man that Oat Flour and Wheat Flour help to make Kick Ass cookies!! And when it comes to pasta, it is such a hard decision between the Brown rice pasta, the Spinach pasta or the whole grain pasta! Well either way you go, you can’t go wrong! The cool thing though, there is always Couscous to decide on as well! As you can see some of this stuff is Organic and any time you can buy Organic do so, why? Just cause it’s better!


So this part of the pantry would be great if it wasn’t for the nasty mayo and the disgusting chili and tamales. What makes that junk taste even better I hear is some heart hardening cheese, beef and sour cream, gag me! But hey if you are ever over you are more than welcome to pop open a can of misery!

How can you ever go wrong with fruit! I love keeping this bowl full with delicious apples, oranges, grapefruits and plums. It’s kinda like a Starburst package but with all the bennies of real fruit! My girlfriends with kids love that there is always some kind of fruit in my house so when their kids want a snack, this is what Auntie Dawn has to offer! Start em young eating right and they won’t grow up to be junk food junkies!!

Oh dear God where do I start! Overload in wanting to share with you about this stuff! Okay first off you gotta have Lentils in the house not only are they oh so gooooood but good for you, okay okay okay so I still love Soy milk but I have just discovered Rice Milk and I am torn as to which one I like the best…..just comes down to which one I am craving! Lordy, lordy lordy then there is Brown Rice bread, something I also just discovered and I gotta say I like it a bit tad more than grain bread, but for it to taste way awesome you should toast it first. You might have been thinking by now, hey where is the tofu I thought Dawn loved Tofu, well I do and here it is! I usually have Extra Firm tofu on hand as well, but I just cooked it up recently with some potatoes and veggies, you would have loved it!!

Here is a drawer that I only visit so I can re-stock the nasty cheese and deli meat, they say you can never have too much cheese in the house, well I want to know who they is cause they is wrong! Mmmmm is that turkey sandwich meat, man slap that on some white bread with mayo and a slice of cheese and you have pure………garbage!

More Photos of My House!!!!!

Hi Everybody!! Not a whole lot of new decorating has been happening at our Country love shack!! Ya know it costs lots and lots of money to keep decorating and we are not made of money!! However I think you will still enjoy these new set of photos and hey there is still the same amount if not more love in our house! What I love the most about our house is right when walk in you can feel how warm and inviting the house is and the people in it!!

Look how cute my husband (Hi baby, I love you sooooooooo much) and father in law, Pops, are as they watch their sports!! This is for sure a site you will see a lot, those two are totally into some sports program!! I think they were watching Nascar, vroooom vroooom, gooooooo Jimmy Johnson! I really don't know much about it or care, I just know Jimmy Johnson is hot!!

Oh lordy lordy lordy, look at those mound holes!!!! That’s right we have a damn Mole! That little bugger is messing up our lawn! My husband ( hi good looken, love ya) and the bug guy have a plan to get rid of the Mole, I don’t want to know what it is because I don’t want the cute little thing to get hurt I just want it gone!! I hope it finds it ‘s way back home to it’s own family.

How lucky are we that the people that lived here before us planted Strawberries! Last summer they came in nicely and here they are again, they are actually really really good! Just make sure you wash them because you know some nasty bugs have done their business on them!! Once they are washed you can enjoy a slice of heaven!	Oh my gosh this is one of my favorite rose bushes we have, I don’t know what kind these are but they are soooooooooo pretty look how pink the pink is and red the red is! How some people can say God doesn’t excist are just nuts! And they obviously never go outside to see God all around them in nature.
Helloooooooooooo I love sitting, yes I said sitting, hee, hee, in the bar area of our house and looking out the window at our big bush that has these white roses they are so damn pretty!! Nothing like making a strong drink after a long day and enjoying the company of my wonderful husband (hi sweetheart kiss, kiss, I love you) and looking at the beauty outside our windows!	Oops! Looks like someone hasn’t been doing laundry!! Oh yeah that’s me!! I double hate doing laundry, I swear if we were wealthy I would hire someone just to do the laundry! And fold it too, that is the worst as well! I don’t know how you moms do it, you not only have your husband’s, but your kid’s laundry as well, you are just superstars!! Laundry does suck so if your wife is great at doing it for you and the kids be sure to extra thank her and buy her something nice while you are at it!!! Unless you can’t afford it then a thank you or a nice note will work just as well!!
Here’s a look at some of our games! Games are so great to play, except I hate losing and I will want to keep playing until I win! And it isn’t just about winning it is about having f-u-n!! My husband (hi the love of my life!) is really good at Trivial pursuit, well actually he is good at all our games, he is so darn smart! We love playing Monopoly and Life with our nieces, we will pop some popcorn have a little bit of the wine, well not my nieces they usually want soda! And have game night, all families should have game night instead of vegging in front of the tv all the time then you don’t talk and you have no idea what is going on in each other’s lives and that is just so sad.
My least favorite cubboards!! I used to love cleaning, now I loathe it, but it has to be done cause you can’t live in a dirty house that is just so gross and you don’t want to get roaches or some nasty ass bugs in your house! When I clean it takes forever, manly because I put on a lifetime movie and then during the commercials I will clean and then when the movie comes back on I will sit down and then when another round of commercials comes on I will get up and continue cleaning and then when the movie comes back on…well you get what I am doing! Ya know you do it to!	Well hello there what do we have here??!!! one of my most favorite cubboards in the house!! Not a ton of liqueor but enough!! We didn’t have a bar in our last house so we are slowly stocking up, it’s expensive so you get a little here and a little there and then one day you have a full bar like a restaurant!!
Okay so I HATE, HATE, HATE the heat, it’s makes me grumpy!! So this was just a dream when I saw this in the master bedroom, that’s right the people that owned the house before us put a separate air conditioner in the bedroom so not only do you have the air for the whole house but our own as well so it’s like a freezer in our room!! Now of course this also saves us money on the rest of the house cuz we can cool off our room and not the rest of the house unless of course we have people over you don’t want your guests to sweat!!	My husband (hi sweet man, I love you sooooo much) is so silly! This is outside in our backyard covered area and this used to say Basket, but I didn’t want it up there anymore so my silly man took all the letters down except those!! One day I was in the backyard and looked up and just starting laughing cause I thought he had took it all down, sometimes when you give your man the honey do list they are just silly with it!!
The nice folks that lived here before us left this Angel for us in the backyard, how thoughtful was that!! they are Christians to and they knew we were as well so they left us this Guardian Angel to look over us and the house, everyone has their own guardian angel ya know even people that don’t believe, that is how great God is!!
xx Pool gates are sooooooooooooo important, especially if you have kids they are a MUST!! Of course we don’t have any children yet but we have nieces and nephews and my god daughter who all come over to hang out so we have to make sure they are safe! Anyway these gates sometimes need a little jazzing up so we have these cute flower stands that connect to the gate and give it a little spunk!!
When Pops is living with us this is where he likes to smoke, he will also read his paper, snack on some cookies and do that Suduko game, he is retired and can do whatever he wants!! He worked real hard for many many years so now he gets to just relax, travel and hang out with family, he is just the best to have around!!	So those are the NEW photos of our house!!! Look at our great country dinner bell!!! It's just like being out on the range!! This was sent to us by an AWESOME listener, and we use it all the time at dinner time!!

This clock on the wall is part of our rooster collection.... it's a rooster clock!!!!!! Can you believe how cute this is!!!! Cock-a-doodle-dooooo!!!!

This is our country kitchen, complete with antique coffee grinder and cooking utensil holder. And as you can see, we've got a rooster on the wall!!!!!

For the longest time, we couldn't decide what should go over our fireplace. Then we found it... the perfect addition to our living room... a giant, framed picture of horses!!!!! How perfect!!!

Just to keep things new and fun, we decided to rearrange the furniture around our bar area!!!

Check out the awesome cowbell on our bar!!! It's such a great conversation starter!!! And no country home would be complete without a big flower pot full of sunflowers!!!!

We found the perfect place in our house for our American blanket!!!

Our home is constantly growing and evolving. We even found a new spot for the wagon wheel!!!

What's better than a big ol' picture of horses over the fireplace? Our horsey clocks!!!!

Is this not the greatest lamp you have ever seen!!! It's a cowboy lamp!!!! Yeeeee-haawwww!!! Behind the cowboy lamp is a great painting of cowboys and Indians (technically Native Americans. We should be respectful because "Indians" is not a nice thing to say).

This is one of our FAVORITE new things in our house... our new rustic chandelier!!!! We liked this one because it's even more rustic than the one we had before!!!

How could we have a perfect country home without our Americana bathroom!!!! Every time I brush my teeth here, I think about all the amazing soldiers who have sacrificed so much so that we can all be free and live in this great country.

Photos of My House!!!!!

Hey everybody!!! I am so excited to finally get this page up on my part of the website. My husband Gary (good morning baby, I love you!! kiss kiss kiss) and I have been so fortunate in life. We have both worked very hard to get everything we have. We found each other, we fell in love, got married, and now is such a special time for both of us, 'cause we have moved from our old house to our new dream house. This is something we planned for together for a long time and, God willing, were able to make happen together. It's been a lot of hard work moving in and getting the place decorated the way we wanted it, but it has been such an amazing experience, and such a reminder of how blessed we are. So anyway, homes are never completely done. They're always changing because people are always growing and the love you share with your family is always growing and evolving. But that being said, here are some pictures of our home as it is now. Enjoy...

Oh my gosh, does it get any more American dream than this!! We have a white picket fence around our wonderful house!!

This is the outside part. We like to have a lot of flowers and organic things around where we live. It just feels good to be surrounded by life.

This is the entrance right when you walk into our house. Look at our great checkered floor and our coat rack!!!

Oh my gosh, I saw these cowboy boots and I thought, what a perfect decoration!!!!!!

This is our dining room with our cool country chandelier. Check out the lights that look like there's candle wax melting down the side!!!

I have to give kudos to the people who lived here before us. Look at what a great job they did with the stairs!! Perfect as is!!

This is our living room, which is home to our checkered western chair with the barrel behind it!! It's country chic!!!

On to my favorite part of the house... the bar!!!!!!! And what perfect bar would be complete without covered wagons!! Yeeee-haaawwwwww!!!!

Continuing with our cowboy theme, here's the coolest picture of a horse drinking water from this lake!!! This picture is right above our bar (did I mention that's my favorite part of the house!!!).

This is also in the bar area. It's our couples rocking chair!!! It's so nice to sit with my Gary (good morning baby!! can't wait to smooch you here again!! kiss kiss kiss) in this chair and just chill out. It's SOOOO relaxing!!!

These are the real cowhide pillows that are on the rocking chair. It almost makes you feel like you're away on a real cattle ranch.

Look how great this is!!! This is one of our favorite chairs, it's made out of a wagon wheel!!!!

This is one of my favorite parts of the house, our country fireplace. Now don't get me wrong, I hate being hot worse than anything in this world!!!! But nothing feels better in winter time when it's ice cold and raining outside than curling up with the person you love in front of a homey fireplace. Now THAT'S how you're supposed to get warm!!! (not by walking outside and having it be 107 degrees!!!!!! Aaaahhh!!!!).

Look how cute our border is in our laundry room (and how cool is the antique shelving!!!)
