THE CANNONBALL RUN

Since there were no real movies that came out this weekend, I decided to think of a GREAT entertaining movie that is timeless. And did I come up with a winner. The Cannonball Run. Not only does it star Burt Reynolds and Dom Delouise, but Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. hell I think that even Roger Moore was in this as well. The Cannonball is a race that is run from one end of the country to the other and the team that makes it there the fastest is of course the winner. Here's the catch, law enforcement is against the race because they are breaking the laws from coast to coast. The teams try and outsmart and out run the other teams, hell they even try and frame the other teams to try and get them out of the race. Of course Burt Reynolds is THE MAN in the movie, like ALL his other movies. The best part of this movie is that there is NO message being forced down your throat, it's nothing but good crude humor from being to the middle to the end. I don't know how many times I have seen this movie but it NEVER gets old. Hell, I think that Jackie Chan made his American acting debut in this movie. I know that in part 2, which wasn't near as good as part one, Mel Tillis teamed with Tony Danza and a chimp to try and win the race. Which makes me think that the next time Hollywood gives us another shitty weekend I can review Any Which Way But Loose. Another CLASSIC. By the way, I LOVED this movie!!!!!!!!!
