THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE

I know I know…. the love between Bella and Edward is intense, deep, forbidden, mesmerizing, sweet, and incredibly relatable to that first time love we all have, one of the many reasons this movie is so damn popular for women in their late 20’s to 40’s!! But I gotta say I am still Team Jacob! I get it it really isn’t a story without the love between Edward and Bella, I just LOVE seeing Jacob on the big screen!

Okay while I clear my head of the hotness that is Jacob, let’s get onto the review of the movie….so I don’t read the books, my god daughter actually got me into the movies but I have yet to open the books which I hear are amazing so I don’t have that comparison to make so obviously those of you who have may see this 3rd installment of the movie a little differently. The one scene I was a little disappointed with was when Bella asks Jacob to kiss her and we didn’t get to see what she saw, in the books from what I have been told when that kiss takes place Bella is able to actually see this fantastic life she can have with Jacob, that they would be very  happy and it would be very fulfilling, a little bit of a flash of what she was seeing would have been nice.

So there are many things going on in this movie… a lot more character development which I enjoyed with the vampires and the story of the wolves and vampires, the newborns being brought about by Victoria, who is doing this to seek revenge against the Cullen’s for killing her one true love and the biggie of the movie Bella still wanting to be changed.

The big difference that I liked this time around is it wasn’t just her saying change me so I can be with you forever Edward, she was faced with what that really meant. No more dreams of her own, having children, having choices, she would have to leave her friends and family behind, realizing that once she gets changed just like the newborns she will want blood in such an intense manner that is horrifying to go through, everything that she has ever known about life will no longer exist, she will be what Jacob calls walking dead, no more soul. We get to see that Jacob really does have so much more to offer Bella(including his warm toned skin instead of the coldness that runs through Edward because there is no life there) she wouldn’t have to give up her life to be with Jacob and Edward knows this and deep inside he is willing to let her go if that is what she wants but in the end Bella does want to marry Edward and she has always felt like an outsider and with him and his life its where she truly feels at home…this movie was good!! Can’t wait for Breaking Dawn, it will be a 2 part film-finale! Give me some more Jacob!!
