December 1st, 2008 Here's my review for... Four Christmases
It's time for the first of what I'm sure will be a bunch of holiday movies to see this season. Four Christmas's, the new Vince Vaughn/Reese Whitherspoon movie about a couple that doesn't want to get married and doesn't want to celebrate Christmas with their families. The reason they don't, I would have to agree with, is that families SUCK during the holiday season. Let me say they suck other times of the year, but not nearly as much as they do during the holidays. So those two have avoided their families for the last three years and are about to get away for their fourth when their flight to Fiji is fogged in and they are seen by their families on TV and now HAVE to spend time with them. That's when the funny parts are supposed to happen. Too bad it's another typical Vince Vaughn movie where he talks really fast and crowd goes wild because he is soooooooooooooooooo damned funny and predictable!!!!!! Only to be outdone by the comic stylings of Reese Whitherspoon. If your like me and thought that she couldn't be funny, you were right!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sure they both realize what's truly important at the holidays and of course that means that FAMILY is important, it just makes you want to cry. Not because it's so touching, but because it's so fucking LAME!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to say the best part of this movie is that it is only about an hour and twenty minutes long, but after that I have to tell you that I HATED this movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
