September 22nd, 2008 Here's my review for... LAKEVIEW TERRACE So, I have to say that I was pretty excited to see the new Sammy Jackson movie Lakeview Terrace that is until it started. The movie is about a couple that moves in next door to Samuel L. Jackson. It just so happens that the girl is black and the guy is white. Later in the movie we find out that Jacksons wife who is dead, was killed while on her way back from an affair with a white guy so that is why he doesn't like his new neighbors. That and the fact that his kids were able to watch them get it on in their pool the first night that they moved in. Look I'm all for the psycological thriller movies, that is if it IS thrilling. This movie was just another verstion of Unlawful Entry, that SUCKED!!!!!!!!!! That movie the cop was in love with the chick that lived in the house. This time it's very uncomfortable because of the whole race thing involved in the movie. I'm tired of the movies trying to be edgy and good, and just sucking. Which by the way this one did. Samuel L. Jackson is an AMAZING villian in the movie, and it all gets ruined because everyone, and I do mean EVERYONE in this movie SUCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There's some stupid subplot in the movie that there is a huge fire burning in L.A. and the people of this neighborhood are going to have to move out. I don't know why it was in the movie, but I guess that earthquakes are just a little too played out. All in all this movie SUCKED and I hated it. Please don't see this movie anytime soon.
