January 26th, 2009 THE WRESTLER
Ok, so I used to LOVE pro wresting. Back in the days of Stone Cold Steve Austin and all the greats, so I have to say that I was kind of looking forward to the movie "The Wrestler". After seeing it, I'm glad I don't watch wrestling anymore because it would remind me too much of how much I HATE Mickey Rourke. I really always have, and I don't think that is going to change anytime soon. I mean we give Heath Ledger a bunch of shit for pretty much playing himself in the Dark and Crappy Knight. Well, if you change the word wrestler in the phrase beatin' down, old, crappy wrestler, to beatin' down, old, crappy actor then Mickey Rourke played himself!!!!!!!! Marisa Tomei was naked in the movie, which is only about 15 years too late, thanks for that!!!!! She plays a stripper that starts to fall for the shitty wrestler, because he has for her. He must have taken one too many chair shots to the head. The thing that pissed me off the most about this movie is that they really didn't use any REAL wrestlers. Sure it was supposed to be about a superstar that has gotten old and is just trying to scrape by. Because that's what we want to see. They should have just followed Mickey Rourke around Hollywood and they would have saved on a bunch of scene. All in all I have to say that I hated this movie, oh, and the song sucks too!!!!!!!!!
