July 27th, 2009 THE UGLY TRUTH
So, I have to tell you that the new movie, The Ugly Truth, is VERY predictable and would have been a FANTASTIC movie without Kathern Heegle. With that being said, I think that Gerard Butler in this movie is my new HERO!!!!!!!! That is until they screw it all up, but I don't want to ruin it for you just yet. The movie is "based" in Sacramento. If you look hard enough in the baseball scene(shot at a stadium that doesn't exist in Sacramento, with a team that has NEVER been here either) you will see a guy up two rows and to the left of Kathern Heegel's date wearing a 98 Rock T-shirt. They couldn't have just bought one of ours????? Whatever. So the movie is about an overstressed TV producer, Heegel who has been given a total male shovenistic pig Butler to help get TV ratings, and of course it works. Then he helps Heegel land the man of her dreams, well at least she thinks. Blah, blah, blah, give me more rude Gerard Butler. Hell, I wanted him to slay some more Persians while he was on the screen. The other really good part about this movie for me was that the news achor was played by the guy from the Direct TV ads who's a real idiot, and of course we love our own. I don't understand why this movie was actually rated R. Sure they say the word Cock and bunch of times and even mix in a few Fucks. But there's no blood and violence there's not any boob or cooch, there is a naked guys but. And by the way Hollywood we are TIRED of seeing naked DUDES!!!!!!!!!!!! I know that for a fact this character is based on ME, not some shitbag from Extra/Access/Hollywood This Week. So, I am going to say that I liked this movie just because I think I deserve some royalties from it.
