My two week PAID vacation started out doing a lot of family stuff. I stayed in Sacramento for the first week, visiting family and hosting parties at home. The second week was spent in San Diego visiting more family. First, a look at what my girlfriend and I got for Christmas...

Okay, so the big screen TV has a story behind it. I got this TV from my good friend and local DJ Joe Maumee, who first inherited it from the other local Sacramento DJ Pat Martin. Oddly enough, stashed inside was the entire Tesla catalog. My girlfriend was nice enough to get me a really nice watch. Not to mention plenty of gift cards, a can of tuna in my stocking, and a blanket from the mom.

My girlfriend spends a lot of time shopping for shoes, when she discovered these pink patent leather high heels, she held a knife to my throat threatening my life if I didn't get them for her. Also, for all those token "drunk-ass" girlfriend needs, a "happy hour" that grows in a jar of water.

Of course, the half polar bear/half cat, Einstein, had to get some stocking stuffers.

While spending time with the girlfriend's parents, we spent most of our time following the parents' boxers around and taking pictures of them. The white one is Gypsy and the black and white little guy is their brand new puppy Palooka.

When packing for the second half of the trip, I noticed that I was packing all of the shoes that Rob recently gave to me only to make room for much nicer, much newer shoes. Those slippers were given to me from a listener.

Here you see the beginning of an inebriated trip to San Diego. My girlfriend and I stopped at the only bar in the Sacramento airport while we waited for our plane. This would be the first of hundreds of drinks consumed on our trip to beautiful Southern California.

My sister, my girlfriend and I went to Disneyland the day before New Years Eve. It was terribly busy, but we made the best of it by pointing out all of the following weirdos we saw while waiting in line.

First, a family all dressed alike in Christmas attire...note, this was 5 days after Christmas!!! Second, a stupid kid had some Target imitation Crocs in the shape of cars. Crocs are already stupid enough... And lastly, the most unique backpack I've ever seen, Yoda riding bare back...

Half-way through the day at Disneyland, we stopped at an excellent gourmet pizza restaurant, so we continued to drink. We would have taken pictures of said gourmet pizza, but we were drunk... lay off!

New Years was spent with my dad and step-mother at a local restaurant outside of San Diego. We spent the entire night drinking tequila and wine.

When you combine the two, you get the robot...

As well as kleptomania. There were decorative penguins on all of the tables where we were partying, and one of those just happened to wind up in my girlfriend's purse.

Now the penguin resides on our side table at home.

This is the result of the end of our vacation in San Diego. We spent the rest of our time nursing our hangovers.
