Hey Everyone! Thought I would share with you some photos from the Ladies Auxiliary Post 4647, a group of gals that are former Military or the wives, daughters or Granddaughters of Veterans. This group of gals volunteer their time doing great stuff for Veterans and Active Duty Military, I love being a part of this group! And regardless of  political affiliation or feelings about the War, there is one common thread with us gals we Support and love our Troops!

This was our Cookie Bake! We baked dozens and dozens of cookies packaged them up along with some razors and popcorn and sent them to our Troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, it was such a fun day and it’s the least we can do to give these guys and gals a little bit of taste from home!

On this day we headed over to McClellan to the Sac Med  Hold for Wounded Soldiers, the Soldiers were injured in Iraq or Afghanistan  and if an injured Soldier is from the Western States they are routed thru McClellan before  heading home, we were asked to come out make them some lunch and give them some company which of course we were more than honored to do. These are photos of those currently stationed and serving here in the States that help out the Wounded Soldiers and they too got to enjoy the lunch and some fun balloons made by a gal who served in the Army for 26 years and is now a clown and likes to cheer up the Soldiers!

I just thought the rows of clocks were cool at the base and the flag in this briefing room…I wonder what’s going on in there???!!.....
