Round 1 of Dawn's Christmas Vacation Photos 2008

Sure hope you had a fantabulous Christmas and Holiday season!! isn’t it just the bestest time of the year, well of course it is!! During the 2 weeks off Gary and I spent a lot of time with family, friends and our favorite together!!! This will be Round 1 of my Vacation photos, yes I know shocker I took a shit load of photos!! Enjoy Round 1!!!

So a few days before Christmas Eve some jerk ran right thru our fence, now I say jerk because they took the fence down with their car and took off! So we are guessing they were either drunk or the type of person that doesn’t want to pay for destroying someone else’s property….thanks! Actually it all worked out for good because the Contractor who came out to fix the fence wanted his money sent to one of the folks from the 17 Days of Christmas, how awesome is that!! See there are still some pretty fantastic people left in this world!!

Roberto and I have the same accountant and every year she throws a huge ass Holiday party and this was the first year that we all could make it, finally! Rob and one of my bestest friends his wife Janell came to our house first so we could have a few cocktails…hee hee cock..tail!! Holy moly once we got to the party there were soooooo many people, soooooo much food and lots and lots of the alcohol!!! Janell and I are like polar bears and need to be where it is cold so we all hung out outside on the deck, drinking, chowing down and shooting the shit and of course the boys had to have some smelly cigars!! Oh yeah did you notice Rob’s cute Santa tie!!

These 2 folks have HUGE hearts! these are our friends Dennis and his wife Jen, Dennis is a retired First Sergeant with the Army, he works with my husband and is the guy who inspired us to join the VFW. We were out celebrating his birthday with of course some drinky drinks and grub!!

All throughout Christmas this is where you would find our cats! This is the first year that under the tree became their favorite spot and they would scatter the “gifts” all over the house! I put gifts in quotes because they are actually empty boxes just put there for decoration!! Don’t they look soooooo freaken cute! Okay but this wasn’t so cute, when we were taking the tree down, the tree skirts had their pee all over them! Thank God for Wall marts $3.99 Christmas tree skirts!

Every year we have an Open House on Christmas Eve from like 5p to whenever! The Italian side of the family also spends it with us, and friends show up throughout the night it is so much fun, we look forward to it every year! Usually the whole street does luminaries and it is so pretty but this year it rained booooo so no luminaries! The cute little gal holding up her fingers with the bandages is my niece Katie who cut herself while helping me cut cheese up for the Antipasto platter, I felt so horrible but thank god she was fine!!

Our little cousin Jordan really liked Rob, how cute and sweet is that! Uncle Roy always likes to chat with Rob every year, and Rob actually enjoys it as well!! I hope someday he and Janell have a baby, don’t they look good with a kid??!!

Okay so my sister Colleen almost caused a house fire! That is my niece Megan in the kitchen laughing at her mom as you can see the smoke reflecting off the lights…what did she almost catch on fire? Well those were sweet potatoes, but not just any sweet potatoes, Janell’s famous sweet potatoes, that’s right Janell knows my husband Gary loves them so she made some for him and brought them over how super sweet of her, and my sister goes and burns them…way to go!

So the Open House party continues…first picture you see is me and my niece Megan, she will be 21 this summer, can’t freaken believe it!! Rob’s mom Gerri along with Former Producer Nick and his lovely girlfriend Charlotte also joined us always so great to see them! That fun sweet family you see is Tom and Angela with their daughter Lacey, you have seen them before because they also join us every year along with kick ass detectives Kevin and Rachelle love them! thanks for keeping us safe!

Thanks Nick!! As Nick was leaving he did dirty things with 2 of our stuffed reindeer, pig! Look at him he is cracking himself up, you are so grosssss!!
