Dawn's Memorial Day Weekend Photos

Howdy Everyone!! Hope you all enjoyed your Memorial Day Weekend and at some point during the weekend you took some time to remember all our fine American Soldiers who fought for our freedoms and are now resting peacefully…you did right??!! Any who my hubby and I did a lot of relaxing, and spending time with friends, hope you enjoy the photos of that!!

Super early Saturday morning Gary and I along with many other volunteers, Former Military, Navy and Army ROTC headed over to East Lawn where hundreds to maybe even thousands of our Military men and women are laid to rest. This was a very humbling experience as we put crosses and flags on all the military graves of those that fought in Foreign Wars for our freedom. WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam and Iraq..there was even a grave from the Spanish American War….so many lives serving for you and I, if you haven’t done this before I would highly recommend it.

Had to get in some time with the Williams’s! Well poor Rob works with me and then had to see me over the long weekend, sorry buddy your wife is my BFF!! Of course we dived right in to the alcohol! I am drinking Vodka, club soda and a bunch of fresh limes, pretty clean drink!!

While Janell and I were having girl talk Rob and Gary got in their pool and baseball time…..check out the stick thingie that Janell got Rob it’s Homer!! D’oh!!

So freaken adorable Nelli and Shep are! They were out back playing then took a little rest, how could anyone not like doggies!!??

Being Italian it’s hard to show up for a dinner empty handed! So I brought one of my yummy salads and homemade dressing to eat with din din…look at Rob’s mahi mahi filets…..yummo!!

Buzzing pretty good at this point and having lots of fun!!

Dinner time! HOLY CRAP super good mahi mahi! No really I could have eaten 2 filets! Rob’s potatoes were also fabulous! Always a guarantee that you will have a fantastic meal from Chef Rob!

After din din the boys played some more pool and Janell and I gave some loven to their cat Cabbie, look at her belly! She has the cutest lion hair cut…LOVE cats!

Ohhhhh yeah it’s UNO time!! Rob was laughing at me because I had to keep drawing to find a freaking card..ughhhhh! not to worry tho I ended up kicking ass and winning 2 games!! Topped off the evening with this yummo strawberry shortcake that Janell made!
