Dawn's Thanksgiving Photos/Run For The Hungry
December 3rd, 2008
Hey Everybody! Sure hope you had a fantabulous Thanksgiving, gobble gobble!! Well this year I didn’t get a chance to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, boooooo! I LOVE to watch it, but this year Producer Cristi and I ran in the Run to Feed the Hungry and didn’t get home until after the parade was already over and well seriously the run was more important anyway!! It was also another GREAT time at the Williams for Turkey din din, hope you enjoy all the photos!!

Yahoooooo, here we are, Producer Cristi, our friend Amy and myself in the parking lot making our way to the starting line for the Run to Feed the Hungry Thanksgiving morning! As you can see there were some folks tailgating before the race!!

Of course per usual right before the race we have to pee! And also per usual the freaken lines are long and Amy and I are having a hard time holding our pee in!! Now when you are in line to go to the bathroom at a race you come to learn that a lot of runners have to go poo poo before they race and you just hope that the porta potty that opens up for you isn’t one where one of these runners pooped!! Thank God this time it was clear!

Are these not the cutest little kid boots!! We had to get a photo as we all were googling over the boots! One of the best things I am sure about having a little girl all the cute fashion you can dress them up in!

Here we are finding our place in line at the starting line, and yep this is our spot the 12 min. mile runners!! Hey slow and go is what finishes the race! Waaaaaay up front are the super duper fast runners that do like a 5 min. mile, hellllllllooooooooooo no thanks!!

So these are all the photos from the running trail! It was a slow start at first because there were soooooo many people it took awhile for everybody to spread out so we could start running! The trail was so much fun as you can see people in their houses came out with signs, some had sliced oranges for us, so nice, others had their bars set up as they watched us they were drinking their mimosas!! Another thing that was neat, some houses set up music in their front yard for us and one house had a live band in their front yard, it was really a fun run thru these neighborhoods!! As you can see the last photo is me crossing the finish line, Cristi took the photo she finished about 5 minutes before I did, show off!!

YES! We are finished running and it felt sooooooooooo good! We thought we would show you the apple we ate after we were done, that apple tasted sooooooooo good after 6.2 miles!!

It’s Turkey time at Rob and Janell’s!! A few of us were hanging out in their backyard Cristi and her man Scotty, Jim the station manager and my sweet husband Gary and myself…. it’s so pretty out there and the weather was nice and crisp!

So this is Rob’s famous Rotiesserre Turkey so freaken yummy! And oh yeah the Prime Rib too, I guess it was good everybody loved it, I myself don’t care for Prime Rib but I bet if I did I would love Rob’s!!!

ROB I swear, REALLY KNIVES!! You are now taking pictures with me while holding knives!! Look at the nice and sweet picture of your beautiful wife and I, see that is how it is done, damn it!!

There are always yummy appetizers at the Williams’s parties, we try not to eat too many of them though because Rob’s cooking is so damn good we don’t want to full before we chow down!

It’s Arnie and his sweet southern wife Emily!! Look what Arnie did to her leg! Naw just kidding! Arnie barely left the couch by the way, of course watching fooda fooda football the whole time!!

Another pretty picture of Janell and I!! I love getting this close to her, she always smells soooooo good! of course we are buzzing pretty good at this point!! What’s a party without a buzz???!!!

Hey Arnie finally got up from the couch to snack on some appetizers and he felt the need to show us some of the food in his mouth!! Hey Arnie is making the same face Rob does when he poses with me, I swear those boys!!

The table was set up so fancy! It was like we were at a fine dining restaurant!! Look at the yummy stuffing Rob makes, well this one has sausage, boooooo! But he made me my own without sausage and it was so damn good, of course!!

Yahoooo! Time to grub on all the FABULOUS FOOD!! OMG the Turkey was so freaken good, so were Janell’s sweet potatoes, Rob’s potatoes, the bread the stuffing ALL OF IT!! We all had such a great time chatting and eating, a lot of eating it was so good you just kept taking more bites until we all were like okay we are going to explode time to stop!!

Oh yeah it’s couch time! Some of us needed a bit of rest after eating so much food! And once you sit on Rob and Janell’s couches its hard to get up because they are so comfy like a bed!

Look it’s Jesus and the Nativity scene!! Rob says this is the only sign of anything Jesus related in the house for Christmas!! Well something is better than nothing!! Don’t forget to sing Happy Birthday to Jesus this year on Christmas!

Cristi, Scotty and I hammin it up together! Wait do you think they are strangling each other cause they are talking to me??? No, I am way to sweet!!

Okay so my feet were pretty sore from running that day, so Janell offered to massage my feet, she is such a sweet heart and oh man did it feel good, Thanks Nelli!!
Hope you enjoyed the Gobble Gobble photos!!
