RAD Golfs With "Cancer Guy" Jason @ Cache Creek

Howdy Everyone! Okay so a few weeks ago we got a call from a listener named Jason, but this was not just any ordinary call, Jason has Brain Cancer. Jason expressed how during his battle his brother Eric has been a big support and Jason was hoping to see his brother Eric play a round of golf with Rob and Arnie. After a little joking, on Rob and Arnie’s part of course!! We knew this would be a wonderful thing to do for Jason and his brother. Cache Creek stepped up and offered their golf course and there was a major bonus….. Me!! That’s right I even got to go and hang out with them while they played golf! Jason is a really cool guy and we feel blessed to have been able to spend some time with him. Hope you all enjoy these photos from our golf outing!

So this is when we first arrived to Cache Creek to check in for the golfy golf and Roberto posed with the golf mannequin that is right outside the entrance, nice, what a pervert!! Meeting us at the golf shop or pro shop or whatever the hell you boys call it, was Jason and his brother Eric, Jason is wearing the eye patch which he said Rob and Arnie could make jokes about if they wanted to!!!

Here is Rob practicing his shots at the putting green or practice shot area, some shit like that!! thought I would get a butt shot for all you ladies! And a lot of you gals like it when Rob shows his legs so that is for you as well!! Have no idea what that big board is next to the clock, maybe they are really bad golf scores…oh yeah and those trees you see is where they hit their balls in this practice area and I don’t know if you can see the birds running for their dear lives!! there has got to be some birds layed to rest under those trees from golf ball hits, poor little birds!!!

While Rob and my sweet husband practiced their golf moves, Arnie was hanging with Jason his brother Eric and Eric’s wife, who is just so super sweet! Of course they were talking sports, it’s either that or cars or bbq when it comes to a bunch of guys shooting the shit!!!

Okay even though Golf is super boring, I do have to admit, the golf shoes can be pretty cool looking!! The red, white and blue shoe you see is Arnie’s along with his bright red pants!! Arnie’s are a bit more loud but neat looking while the other pair you see of Rob’s a bit more classy looking!!

Yahooooooooo! We are just getting ready to get in our carts and start hitting the balls on the big green grass! Golf clubs, check, alcohol, check!!

Besides hanging out with Jason this was an awesome part of the day riding around in the golf cart with my sweet hubby Gary! We had sooooooo much fun! And yes Rob and Arnie drove together in a cart just like they said they would, darn it! I thought they would ride with Jason or Eric but nope on the air they said they would be riding together and that is what they did! But hey it was fun for Jason and Eric to be together on such a beautiful day!

Yeah okay so this did not make me feel safe at all!! Rattlesnake! Are you kidding me, hellooooooo they have poison in their bite!! Rob was laughing saying it’s only one Rattlesnake as the sign implies!! By the way there were a few of these signs along the course, golf can be a little dangerous!!

Rob got a kick out of this, it’s the key chain for the golf carts and see since it’s Cache Creek it’s a chip like you get when you are gambling but no you can’t turn this in for cash!!!

So this is the first hole, and I just so got a kick out of this…. It’s not rocket science boys! What the heck are they doing just standing there are they drawing straws to see who is gonna hit the first ball???!!! So hilarious!! Look at them, hey there is no green jacket at the end for a prize!!!!

Here are a bunch of shots of the boys golfing, really all the holes looked the same to me so I so don’t remember what any of these shots were, if they were long hits or putt putts or down the fairway, I sure know that some of the balls landed in the water, not Rob’s, and some landed in the sand, not Rob’s again, that would be Arnie or my sweet husband!! But anyway you can check out their golf form and swing!!

Classy boys!! So I wanted to get a shot of their names on the golf cart, isn’t that neat that the golf course puts your name on your cart! By the way Rob and Arnie almost ran me over as I was getting this shot of them, oh don’t cheer them on!!

This is my sweet baby keeping track of all the stats of the day. He so loves stats!! Yes that is the clip board computer that Arnie hates!! I guess this keeps track of all the balls they hit and how far and what not, hell I don’t know but you can see all these interesting stats on Rob and Arnie’s golf page.

This is Jason’s brother Eric and his wife. Seriously super nice people to hang out with. You know when you meet someone and you are feel like you have known them for a long time, that’s what it was like when we met them, just so easy to talk to and really easy going. Eric by the way was hitting the balls pretty damn good all day.

Here are a few shots that I thought were funny cause they show all of our vices for the day!!! Liquor of course,  and cigars for the boys!! Yes we brought the Cognac Iced tea with us! I am telling you once you try it you will never go back to whatever was your drink before!! This drink is sooooooooooooo freaken good! you can find the recipe for it on Rob’s recipe page, get it for your next party it will be a hit I promise!!

So this is Arnie putting a bandage on his wrist, I guess it helps him to play better, one of his tricks I suppose!! Or he has a bad wrist, not really sure!!

Here we are at the end of the 18 holes, man the day just flew by!! I never thought I could have that much fun at a golf course!! We really did enjoy our time with Jason and his brother and wife, what a blessing for us!

So on our way home who do we run into, yes that is Arnie! Can’t you tell with the big longhorns on his car!! Any whooooo Arnie was going so dang slow and there was no one in front of him, helllloooooo move over or go faster!!! Finally we just passed him and is he waving at us, why yes but with his middle finger!!!!
