Rob Gets A New Cadillac
March 23rd, 2010

After 8 days of caring for my wife in ICU as she recovers from a serious car accident, I decided it was time to reward myself with…A NEW CAR!

Unfortunately I needed Dawn to drive me to the car dealership and despite my wife recently being in a car accident, Dawn still thought it was appropriate to drive 70 MPH on city streets. I reacted in my usual calm manner.

Somehow, I arrived safely at the amazing Hubacher Cadillac auto center in Sacramento, CA.

After some quick paperwork with sales consultant Dave Forget I was given the keys to my new Cadillac Escalade EXT. No joke, the guys at Hubacher were amazing to work with.

The EXT is identical to an Escalade, except that it’s a pickup truck. Same awesome 6.2L V-8 engine, same body design and specs.

The bed of the truck can be covered to protect things from rain or quickly converted to a standard open-air pickup bed.

Did I mention that I bought it from Hubacher Cadillac and they gave me an amazing deal and they were all incredibly nice and huge fans of the show?

The interior is black leather and the rest of the inside is also identical to an Escalade with the wood trim and all of the silly bells, whistles and creature comforts that come with a loaded Cadillac.

For example, this button on the side of the steering wheel allows me to heat or cool the actual wheel…that’s right, my steering wheel has its’ own air conditioning!

The coolest feature about this truck is that it has gorgeous leather seats in the back if I want them…

Or I can quickly hide those seats from large animals with paws and claws…

No pickup truck is complete until the dogs ride in it once.

And best of all, it’s a Cadillac.
