Rob's Spring Break Vacation Photos
April 9th, 2010

No doubt by now you most likely know that my wife Janell was in a serious car accident in Mid-March that left her unable to put any weight on either of her legs until May. Multiple fractures and breaks, along with compression fractures in her back mean that her life will be spent lying down and/or in a wheelchair until she fully recovers, which she will. Her attitude is amazing and she’s impressing the hell out of her doctors with her progress…but even with that, life is different at Williams Manor these days.

After 12 days in ICU, janell came home to kisses from our doggies, Shep and Nellie and their insistence on lying with her and guarding her non-stop in the guest room, where she will be staying for the next couple of months.

Just because she’s a gimp doesn’t mean she can’t or won’t do what’s important to her, like decorating eggs for Easter.

Or, having an at-home pedicure/manicure done.

Even in her crippled state, we still make an adorable couple.

The fun part of watching her heal is that she has scabs and scars everywhere that are improving as time passes…this is her right foot right after a 2 inch scab fell off.

This is the scab.

and this is my wife eating her scab…that’s my girl.

Every day Janell and I head outside for her to do her daily physical therapy…the official contractor of the Rob, Arnie and Dawn show, JLC Construction (www.calljlcfirst.com),  generously came over to Williams Manor and built us ramps to help Janell get in and out of the house.
