Rob Decorates Williams Manor For Christmas Christmas at Williams Manor begins as soon as Halloween ends; we love Christmas and want to enjoy every minute of our decorations…plus it takes us two full weekends to get the damn house decorated so we start early…deal with it. Years ago we switched to a big, beautiful artificial Christmas tree and we loved it. We bought a brand new one for this year; 9 feet tall and gorgeous…of course the only down side is that it has to be assembled Every year we take down all of our pictures and replace them with nothing but Christmas decorations. Some of the stuff is, of course, annoying… 9-10: …But it’s always worth it as this is one of the centerpieces of the family room, filled with holiday cheer. The shelves are filled with everything from crystal snowmen to ceramic Santas and holiday villages. Next to the holiday rack we have a narrow alcove that we use for a small tree and, new this year, a Christmas bird; how silly is that? Remember I mentioned that we got a new tree this year? That means the old tree gets set up in them master bedroom! Each of the hallways gets decorated with trees, giant Santas, nutcrackers, presents, a German Shepherd… The rest of the family room is rounded out with trains, stuffed animals and oversized ornaments on the ceiling. For the first weekend, we got a lot done and are well on our way to an obnoxious holiday home. |
