STUFFED ANIMAL GOLF

Our version of this fun way to “gamble” on the golf course uses stuffed animals because there’s nothing wrong with grown men playing with stuffed toys on a golf course.

We of course didn’t invent animal golf, we just bastardized it. There’s an actual real game, with real rules, unlike our silly version. Check out the official game of “Animal Golf” at the official website:

www.animalgolf.com/

And now on to our stupid game...

Objective of Our Dumb Game- Finish the round with the fewest number of animals possible. Each animal is worth a pre determined value paid out at the end of the round.

Example- Each animal is worth $1.00. Player 1 finishes with 1 animal, player 2 finishes with 2 animals, player 3 finishes with 4 animals, player 4 finishes with 0 animals.

P1 owes P4 $1.00, and receives $1.00 from P2, and $3.00 from P3
P2 owes P4 $2.00, P1 $1.00, and receives $2.00 from P3
P3 owes P4 $4.00, P1 $3.00, and P2 $2.00
P4 did not have any animals, and is declared the winner for having the fewest animals.

How to Play

Animals are earned for entering into specific hazards and poor play. Players must play in order and are responsible for governing themselves and their fellow competitors. It is the responsibility of the other players to ensure Animals in the "Zoo" transfer ownership to the first person when the match starts. Once an animal is in play, they should be exchanged before the next player executes their shot, however if this affects the pace of play, it is the current owner's responsibility to ensure transfer of ownership prior to the first player teeing off on the next hole, otherwise animals remain frozen and the opportunity to transfer is lost.

A majority of the players decide discrepancies not covered by these rules.

Rewards-

Players can earn the following rewards for exceptional play during the round.

Rewards

1. If a player has ownership of an animal, they can transfer ownership of 1 animal to the player of their choice. They cannot elect to put the animal back in the bag.

2. If a player does not own any animals at the time, and animals remain in the "Zoo", the player can pull any animal and give it to the player of their choice.

3. If the player does not own any animals, and the "Zoo" is empty, said player may transfer an animal of their choice from one player to another of their choice.

4. If two players score birdie or better on the same hole, both players may not receive an animal from the other player.

5. If all four players have birdies on the same hole, animals will remain frozen with their current owners until the next event where the animal can be exchanged.

6. Players may not bank their birdie rewards if they do not have any animals.

Only par on a hole

1. If a player scores the lone par on a hole, and all other players score bogey or worse, the player may put the animal of his choice in his possession back in the "Zoo".

2. If the player does not have any animals at this time, the player cannot bank their credit for the next event in which they earn an animal.

A hole in one

1. If a player scores an ace, all of his animals are then given, by his choice to other players in the group.

2. The player gains full animal amnesty for the remainder of the round, regardless
of his play.

The Animals...

1. CAT
A. Players drive does not go past the ladies tees
i. If two players do not drive past the ladies tees on the same hole, and the honor system was not followed, the item must be awarded to the player who did not play in turn.

2. CAMEL
A. Player enters into any area designated as a sand bunker

3. SNAKE
A. Any player taking 3 putts
i. Players are allowed to finish out at their discretion per USGA rules.
ii. If 2 or more players 3 putt the same hole, the player taking the most putts is awarded the item.
iii. If 2 or more players finish the hole with the highest number of putts, the player who finished last will be given the snake.
iv. Counting of putts begins when a player takes his first putt at his ball on the green. If the player putts his ball off of the green, he is still considered to be counting putts for the purpose of the snake.
v. If a player putts his ball off the green and into a sand trap, the player is awarded the camel AND he has taken one putt towards the snake. Snake counting resumes once the player has exhumed himself from the trap and begins putting again.

4. SNOWMAN
A. Any player scoring an 8 on any hole
i. If 2 or more players finish the hole with 8 or more, the player with the higher total will receive the snowman.
ii. If 2 or more players tie with 8 or more on the same hole, the player with the higher score on the previous hole will be awarded the snowman. If both players had the same score on the previous hole, the tie breaker will revert to previous holes until decided.
iii. If 2 or more players tie with 8 or more on the first hole, the player with the higher score on hole 2 will receive the snowman for the first hole if the snow man is not earned by another player.

5. FISH
A. Any player entering into a defined water hazard.

6. GORILLA
A. Any player (a) hitting the ball out of bounds, or (b) losing a ball whether in a playable area or not.
