Rob's "Wine of the Week" Archives So here is my wine review for the week of August 21st, 2006... 3 BLIND MOOSE CABERNET SAUVIGNON
Description: In the age of "2 buck Chuck" I decided to throw myself on a grenade for you and try one of these newly popular, silly named discount red wines that are sweeping trailer parks across America. This one is made in some made-up town called Woodbridge, California. How to Get it: It's available in almost all grocery stores… on the bottle shelf of the wine aisle. How Much: Per bottle, it's about $5, at Raley's I paid $5.99. My Thoughts: I can't believe I'm about to write this, but I am honest if I am anything, and this wine does not suck. Don't get me wrong, it's far from great or even very good, but it's a lot more than I expected, especially at $5 per bottle. Like most discount reds, the wine is way too fruity with flavors of prune trumping all, however it has more body than most cheap reds.
