Rob's "Wine of the Week" Archives So here is my wine review for the week of April 21st... PRIDE SANGIOVESE 2006
Description: As a long time loyalist of Pride Mountain Vineyards, located atop Spring Mountain in Napa Valley, I admit that I sometimes allow my enthusiasm for the wine to get the better of me, such as this week. The Pride Sangiovese is an exceptionally exclusive blend that is virtually impossible to obtain unless you are a loyal customer. This review is meant to entice you to seek out the winery and its wines and perhaps luck into a bottle. Traditionally, Sangiovese is fruity yet acidic and of medium body. As usual, Pride has taken the concept to a whole new level by blending in about 15% merlot to firm up the body. How and when I drank it: Sunday afternoon, April 13, 2008 at my house How to get it: You probably can’t, which makes this a really unfair review. The winery may have a few bottles lying around and you may find it online at some wine merchants or on a restaurant wine list, but it’s not likely so up yours. How Much: It comes in a unique 500 ml bottle for about $40. PRIDE SANGIOVESE 2006=
