TOP 5 GREATEST MOVIES OF THE 1990s

Overview: On the heels of our last top 5 list, which focused on movies of the 80’s, this week we list the greatest movies of the decade that brought us Bill Clinton, the internet boom, Seinfeld and the debut of the Rob, Arnie and Dawn show.

Criteria: Any movie released to the nation’s box office between January 1, 1990 and December 31, 1999 is eligible.

Rob's Notes:  My greatest movie lists remain consistent; a great movie is one that you can and want to watch over and over again; it must hold up to be one of the greatest.

Arnie's Notes: Look here, Braveheart is not only the best movie of the '90's but of ALL TIME!!!!!!!!  And if there is ANYONE out there that thinks that Maximus from Gladiator could whoop William Wallace, all I have to say to you is that you are an EXTREME DUMBASS!!!!!!!!

Rob's Top 5 -

Arnie's Top 5 -

5. Crimson Tide. A spectacular tale or moral turmoil wrapped up in a an action film.

4.  A few Good Men. The speech Nicholson gives on the witness stand at the end is one of the greatest pro-military speeches in cinematic history. Everything he says is true. We do want him on that wall.

3. As Good As It gets

2. The Sixth Sense; one of the few thrillers that I wasn’t able to figure out before the surprise was revealed (unlike Seven, one of the most overrated films of the decade)

1. The Fugitive; suspenseful, perfectly acted and a thinking movie.

HONORABLE MENTIONS -

Casino; bumped out by the fact that the decade also saw Goodfellas and Bronx Tale, two other exceptional mob movies as well.

5. Tombstone

4. Fight Club

3. American Pie

2. Forrest Gump

1. BRAVEHEART
