TOP 5 GREATEST SPORTS RECORDS THAT WILL NEVER BE BROKEN
Overview: As we write this, Barry Bonds is just days away from immorally and illegally (in our humble opinions) breaking Hank Aaron's all-time home run record in baseball, a record most people believed would stand forever (and would have had a certain someone not allegedly used foreign substances to enhance his ability to hit balls further).
Criteria: Any game, activity or challenge that any jerk defines as a "sport" can be submitted with the one huge understanding that the list is the greatest sports records that will be never be broken. This means that the record must be meaningful as well as impossible to eclipse. No one cares about Mark Spitz and his stupid swimming medals or how far anyone can jump.
Rob's Notes: Many of the records that will stand forever will do so because we have become such a huge bunch of pussies as a nation. Hell, we may not see more than a handful of 300 game winning pitchers I our lifetimes because we're all so obsessed with pitch counts and crap like that. A lot of people like to use the cop-out of comparing records to their "era" as though Babe Ruth had it harder in his day because of differences in our culture or technology. Balderdash. My records are all feats that were hard when they were accomplished and would still be seemingly impossible today.
Arnie's Notes: Look here, it makes me sad that Rob's list is so terrible. He has things in the wrong place and from a guy who has told me time and again that pitching is sooooooooo much more important than hitting, not having Nolan up there is a joke. As far as Byron Nelson goes, he did that on his own he didn't have a team behind him like Mr. Bill Russell. 11 golf tournament wins in a row will NEVER EVER happen again.
