TOP 5 TV SHOWS THAT USED TO BE HIP AND SUCK NOW

Overview: On the very night of this list, the newest season of South Park, a show that once dominated the hip-meter but was left dead seasons ago, premieres on Comedy Central. Simultaneously, a show that was hip decades ago has once again become relevant and cool thanks to Sarah Palin as Saturday Night Live has been resurrected from the dead. To honor both events, we list off shows that still are on TV that need an-SNL-type rejuvenation lest they be relegated to “used to be hip, now they suck,” status.

Criteria: The show has to still be on TV and has to have been considered hip by pop culture standards at one point. Law & Order, for example, was never hip, so although that show sucks (and always has) there is no place for it here.

Rob's Notes: I used to love South Park, but with that exception, I essentially LOVE watching people get all excited about a shitty show, making it popular via “water cooler talk,” and then waking up years later realizing their show has pulled a “Will & Grace,” and become irrelevant.

Arnie's Notes: Look here, at one time Knight Rider was the COOOLEST/HIPEST show was was on TV and now they have turned it into something that NO ONE can believe.  REally the car is a shapeshifter I'm sooooo damn sure.

Arnie's Top 5 -

5. American Chopper. Enough with the Teutal boys yelling at each other and making bikes. We get it, we hate it.

4. Taxi Cab Confessions...it's fake! People play it up for the cameras now. Get over it

3. American Chopper. Enough with the Teutal boys yelling at each other and making bikes. We get it, we hate it.

2. Entourage. Never liked it, now everyone hates it. Suck it.

1. South Park. Rarely has a show fallen so far from grace in so short a time. It is stunning how bad this show has gotten compared to how great it was once.

5. ALL of Shark Week

4. Dateline:  To catch a predator

3.
South Park

2. Monday Night Raw
