"TOP 5 NFL FRANCHISES OF ALL TIME"

Criteria: In honor of Super Bowl 40, it's time to talk football again.

Overview: Part of the fun of this topic was allowing Rob and Arnie each the chance to define what makes a great franchise. Fans? Championships? Image? Jersey colors?

Rob's Notes: I think Arnie and I agree that you can't be a great franchise unless you've won at least two Super Bowls. In the end, it is still all about winning. That of course doesn't mean that just because a franchise has won a couple Super Bowls they are therefore one of the greatest ever, it's just the first elimination point. The Raiders, for example are an awful franchise with multiple Super Bowl victories. They have embarrassed themselves and the game far too much to be a great franchise. Greatness is defined by winning, integrity, loyal fan following and a consistent commitment to the pursuit of excellence. There is no doubt that the Cowboys and 49ers are the epitome of NFL franchises… all else fall well below those two teams

Arnie's Notes: So Rob was sooooooooo off on his list this week. Sure the Niners were great for a while but this is list was for ALLTIME!!! The Niners sucked for about 20-25 years before ever doing anything, while after winner the first two Superbowls the Packers took about 15-20 years off before doing anything. All this doesn't matter though because the greatest NFL franchise of all time is the Dallas Cowboys. America's team. Why is there a hole in the roof of Texas Stadium?????? So God can watch his favorite team play.
