Criteria: Quarterbacks are the leaders of the team and therefore get most of the credit and blame (and rightfully so) for their teams failures and successes. Therefore, many of the greatest players are quarterbacks. For this list (and because we earlier listed the greatest QB's of all-time) we allow any other position player to be considered.

Overview: Position players other than the QB cannot control the team's destiny single handedly so we agreed that Super Bowl Rings were not a criteria for being one of the greatest (unlike a QB who has to win the big game before he can be great). .

Arnie's Notes: How Rob doesn't have Nutter Butters on his lists shocks and saddens me. I mean wouldn't you listen to my top 5 list just because I'm fat and I know whats good. Nutter Butters are the GREATEST cookies in the history of the cookie. How Rob leaves them off is a mystery to me, but that's what you get from skinny people.
