"TOP 5 PROFESSIONAL WRESTLERS"
Criteria: We're talking Sports Entertainment, not Grecko-Roman style. Any wrestlers dating back to the old AWA and NWA are up for consideration. Tag teams were considered one choice and no managers were allowed.
Overview: Rob and Arnie grew up watching the Four Horsemen and Hulk Hogan dominate the NWA and WWF. Rob eventually grew out of it, Arnie has a Stone Cold Steve Austin T-shirt that fits him.
Rob's Notes: A great professional wrestler is defined by his character and how he presents that role. The truly great wrestlers are fantastic speakers and showmen and they dominate their genre and sometimes their culture. While there is no arguing that Steve Austin resurrected wrestling single handedly in the 1990s, he's not the greatest ever. Hulk Hogan, Rick Flair and the Macho Man all dominated their times at much higher levels. Those guys made wrestling, Austin just reheated it.
Arnie's Notes: Look here, if you know rasslin', then you will know how stupid Rob is about it. Sure Hulk Hogan is popular, but that doesn't make him the all time greatest. Ric Flair has defined the role of bad guy his whole career. Year after year of being voted most hated, and still being the champ and selling out arenas!! As for Stone Cold Steve Austin, he is the reason rasslin' is still on TV today. And that's the bottom line cause STONE COLD SAID SO!!!!!!
