TOP 5 WORST THINGS ABOUT THE GAME OF GOLF

Overview: A few notes before we begin; Golf is a game, not a sport so don’t even start. Secondly, Rob & Arnie love golf, but golf, perhaps more than any other activity is a true reflection and commentary upon society as a whole. As society has deteriorated of late, so has the game of golf and this list highlights the most annoying and egregious.

Criteria: This list must consist of actual facets of the game of golf; ranging from rules to etiquette to policies to equipment and everything in between. The list cannot, however, include tertiary thing unrelated to the game of golf which occasionally effect the game like, for example “wind.”

Rob's Notes:Golf is the ultimate test of honesty and battle with self. However, the game’s very integrity rests on the integrity of the people that play it. It is an honorable game that is now played by rude, selfish, boorish cretins who do everything they can to ruin it for the rest of us.

Arnie's Notes: Look here, idiots include women, old people, kids dumbasses who talk to loud, yellers, screamers and people that in general just suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   You people who also think that golf should take about 4 hours and thirty minutes to play are idiots too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5. The handicapping system. Everyone thinks it’s an indication of your scoring average and it isn’t. It also punishes good play. Stupid.

4. Anyone not named Tiger Woods who offers unsolicited advice on my golf game.

3. Playing with strangers.

2. All Bad Etiquette. Including, but not limited to:

Slow play, not waving faster groups through, not repairing ball marks, being loud, answering phones on the course, not adhering to dress codes, egomaniacs who play from back tees when their skill level doesn’t warrant it, jerks who wait for the green to clear when they are 300 yards out, walking through putting lines, spending the full 5 minutes looking for clearly lost golf balls, and of course, lying/and or cheating (which includes mulligans, which are CHEATING)!

1. Poorly run golf courses. When the people run amok, management must uphold the integrity of the game and enforce pace of play, dress codes, etc and THEY DON’T!
