CHRISTMAS ALREADY?

So this past week I was out and about doing one of my FAVORITE things, SHOPPING!! I think as women it is just in our blood to LOVE shopping! Any who…..each store I went to was already in the Holiday spirit, decorations and all. Now for someone like me who LOVES Christmas I thought it was great. However I couldn’t help but overhear numerous Scrooges complaining about the Christmas decorations. They were saying “oh my god it’s not even Thanksgiving yet,”  “great here they are shoving Christmas down our throats already,” and “Shit is Christmas here already.” Seriously people it is officially the Holidays. Yes I know we haven’t had Thanksgiving yet, but so what! You can still look forward to Thanksgiving along with Christmas being promoted. Yes Thanksgiving is a fantastic day to be with your family and friends chowing down and being thankful for all you have.  The cool crisp air of Thanksgiving along with the fall colors all around us and the traditional football games round out this great day. You can still enjoy and look forward to all of that. But lets be serious here, nothing beats out the Christmas season, the smells,  the food, the music, the parties, the movies, the spirit,  giving, receiving, all the generosity along with the hope and joy that this time brings. Its almost as if everything else stops and we all just get to enjoy the season. Snow ball fights, ice skating, cutting down your Christmas tree/picking out a Christmas tree, catching up with old friends, seeing family you haven’t seen maybe since last Christmas. In general people just seem to be in happier moods. It brings out the child in us all if you just let it!  Each year it always seems to go by way too fast so I say starting the Christmas season a little bit earlier lets us enjoy it a little longer and that my friend helps this to be A Wonderful Life!
