March 27th, 2006 Failure One of the keys to success is to know how to handle failure. Yes I know failure sucks, it feels bad and you just want to give up and go crawl up like a ball in the corner and hide from the world or get angry and throw a fit! As tempting as that may sound, it’s not productive. Once you fail at something, the key is to analyze why you failed and what you can change so you’ll succeed next time. All failure is is the stepping stone to your success, BUT ONLY IF YOU LEARN FROM IT. Failure is a part of life and if handled properly will make you a stronger person, a person with depth and self reflection who has learned what REAL change is all about, therefore your failure will inevitably lead you to success. We all will fail at some point in our lives whether it is with a job, your children, love relationships, friendships, sports, etc…. But I can’t stress enough it’s what you do with that failure that will change you and your situation for the better. It’s real simple, step back and look at your part in the situation that way you will know what to do and what not to do next time and where YOU had to make improvements. Don’t be ashamed to admit your part in your failures, with shame comes denial and then you will never grow as a person. Remember lots of successful people failed several, numerous times before they got it right but the reason they got it right is they learned from each failure adjusted accordingly and didn’t give up. So be willing to see your weaknesses so you can become strong and a success and enjoy that it is... A Wonderful Life. Got any comments on what you just read? Drop me an email. |
