"You know you are on the road to success if you would do your job, and not be paid for it.” A quote by Oprah Winfrey. This quote may sound nuts to many however I remember my father, God rest his soul, saying to me, “find what you love to do and have a passion for, don’t just find a career based on the kind of money you can make.” He would tell me that it’s no way to live if you are getting up every morning hating what you do for a living, regardless of the money you are making or not making. Your career should be your passion, something you look forward to each morning, something that satisfies you. How many of us have chosen careers based on the money we could make and then you start doing said career and are miserable? Maybe you spent 4 or more years in college to get your degree for said career and realize it just isn’t your passion? How many of us have chosen careers simply because we felt it was the safest choice? Or you chose your career based on the expectations of your family?

We all are made and meant for a specific career, whether or not you have taken the time to find out what that is for you, I really believe it is still in each and every one of us. Call it what you will, that soft inner whisper or voice that tries to get our attention to lead us in the path that we were meant for. The career that says yes, I have found where I am supposed to be, it could be a bus driver, janitor, teacher, doctor, lawyer, stay at home mom..etc..The career you choose in life should bring you joy and fulfillment a sense you are doing what you were born to do. This life is all we get use it wisely. One of the many great things about life, is we can always change our direction whether you are 25 or 45, it’s not too late to find your passion and live it, it might be hard, or a struggle but that is what makes the journey so worth it and makes this A Wonderful Life!
