First off, hope you all had a wonderful Holiday season!! And now that all the excitement that goes along with it has settled, reality starts to set in for folks. The darn reality that unfortunately we are living in uncertain times, economy; wars etc…pretty dang depressing if you think about it for too long. So lets not!!
Instead let’s think about something that will help to make this year a better one for you, and that is your friendships. Now more than ever I think we need to continue to grow our friendships and make sure we are nurturing them. It will cost you nothing financially, but will sure make your life richer. Richer with happiness, laughter and love. Maybe you need to nurture your friendship with your spouse, a family member or a friend you would like to have more contact with. Whatever the case might be, spending quality time with those that you trust, that you can rely on that you know each of you have each others best interest at heart will really help to make those difficult times more bearable and the happy ones so much more sweet.
There are of course a lot of resolutions being made this time of year, lose weight, quit smoking, get a degree, save more money, make more money, the list goes on and on. I say put nurturing your friendships on that list and closer to the top. While those resolutions come and go, a close friendship will still be there. Nurtured properly close friendships get you thru your toughest days, help to celebrate your best ones, lend an ear just to listen and give honest advice only a close friend can give. Friendships help you grow as a person and aren’t there to judge but to accept you and be a safe place to share your life stories, and that my friends helps this to be A Wonderful Life!
