HIGH SCHOOL REUNIONS

Yes a lot of us when we see this think, boooooooooooooo! I myself could not believe a text I received from a high school friend, that our 20 year reunion was coming up! That’s right 20 YEAR!!! I hadn’t really thought about how long I had been out of high school until that moment! When I was 18 and those that were my age 37 said “the years will go by faster than you think” I thought “whatever what do they know!!” Shit they weren’t kidding!! Luckily A LOT has happened in these 20 years so I do feel I have definitely been living! Okay so on to the subject of Reunions, if you didn’t know I was quite the party girl in high school, actually hardly went to school, still passed my classes with A’s, B’s and C’s and did all the work but I just didn’t get into the high school experience! On Friday nights when those that were into high school were at the football game, my friends and I were with 18 – 21 year olds, a lot of times college parties. My best friend at Casa Robles was a cheerleader and even she couldn’t wait til the game was over so she could join us! Looking back now, we might have had a ton of fun but we were lucky nothing drastic happened!  So for someone like me who didn’t do the whole high school experience I don’t think a high school reunion would be enjoyable. However I think they are great for those of you who were really involved, student government, sports, cheerleading (except my best friend back then!) etc…You will remember people that are at the reunion and it will be exciting for you all to see where you are now in your lives and give you a chance to reminisce about your high school days that you enjoyed so much, you can catch up on the last 20 years if you’ve lost touch. High school reunions may not be for all but for a lot of folks it’s something they look forward to, something that gives them joy and A Wonderful Life!
