HOW SMALL WE REALLY ARE

This past weekend my hubby and I were at the ocean for my birthday and once again the ocean has a way of reminding us how small we really are in this equation of life! It amazes me every time I look at how big the ocean is and how much it expands, just it’s mass is incredible. No matter what is going on, on land, the ocean continues to do it’s thing. In perfect unison the waves build and crash, ahhhh the crash of the waves really gets to me, just that big splash of white coming down moving toward the shore and then pulling back perfectly. I can sit, watch and listen to the ocean and it’s waves for hours, if that doesn’t put you at peace you must need some serious anxiety medication!!

One of the best moments of walking along the beach and watching the ocean were these little birds that sat right at the shoreline waiting for the waves to crash but would run and make sure the waves didn’t catch them and then once the wave had slipped back into the ocean the birds would come back and eat away at whatever it was that the wave had brought them. God taking care of his creatures right for us to see, it really was a neat moment. Those birds were so damn entertaining I couldn’t stop laughing, and yes even my laugh did not stop those birds! Their little legs running across the sand was just so funny yet amazing to watch nature at work. When I look around at how well crafted the ocean is, it is a reminder to yes be the best human you can be, but to also take those moments to remind yourself that we are but a speck on this big amazing earth and that helps this to be A Wonderful Life!
