JAYCEE DUGARD

Every Thursday or Friday you can catch me stocking up on all my trashy magazines, US Weekly, In Touch, Life and Style, OK and sometimes Star! Now to make myself feel a bit less trashy I will also pick People Magazine which is waaaaaaay more news than trash in the tabloid world! This past week I saw that Jaycee Dugard was on the cover for the first time telling her story and I don’t know I just couldn’t bring myself to buy it. It almost felt like I would be intruding on something that I wasn’t supposed to be reading even though clearly that’s not the case since she was doing the interview! One can’t even comprehend what Jaycee went through all those years and of course my curiosity of how is she doing got the better of me and I went ahead and purchased People.

From beginning to end of this story you will see what a strong, intelligent woman Jaycee has become despite her circumstances the past 18 years, simply amazing. I mean really, her attitude, her spirit…amazing. I stand and applaud her for not letting that scumbag who kidnapped her take away her unconditional love that she has for her children and her family and her desire to want a normal life. Another miracle, her daughters who never have been to school and Jaycee herself never made it past the fifth grade, are said to be very smart and pretty much at grade level with everything thanks to Jaycee, proving how extremely intelligent she is and what a beyond strong woman to be able to educate her children under such horrific circumstances. To still be able to smile, laugh and look ahead to the future proves that goodness can and does prevail and that helps this to be A Wonderful Life.
