“For I know the plans I have for you declares the lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

I came across this verse in the bible many years ago when I  was a church fanatic! Brief history… when my father(god rest his soul) passed away I went thru many stages of mourning from denial to complete sadness and I used different ways to cope from drinking way too much to becoming a hard core Christian, I taught Sunday school, went to church every Sunday and Wednesday and attended church camps, while extreme it did help with the pain of losing my father!

While I have obviously lightened up on my church attendance and involvement, this verse has continued to be extremely helpful throughout the years. We as humans of course need to  make plans for our lives and take action with those plans however when you believe in God and all he stands for you know that he will have the last word! This verse is so comforting, it really is letting you know that regardless of what is going on in  your life at this moment God knows what is best for you, it may get messy, it may get hard, but if you continue on in faith and doing what you can do as a human and leave the rest up to God he will see you thru it and when you get past it, he has goodness waiting for you.

The beauty of believing is Faith and the unknown. Faith that God will give you the strength to take on your challenges and while you are working thru your obstacles, that faith takes you to the unknown that God has already taken care of! God doesn’t want you to sit around waiting for your life to change, he wants you to use the tools that are God given to turn your life around but he will not abandon you, he will see you to the other side of the challenge, like the verse says “plans to give you hope and a future”….how Wonderful!
